Nürburgring | Ring°Racer | S&S Compressed Air Launch

Re: Ring°Racer, Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany

Hey, I just saw the launch speed is now 160kph or ~100MPH.

If I recall correctly, wasn't this supposed to have a top speed of 135mph?

;)

You won't believe this but....it's finally open! Flying Turns, then this and now all we need is Orphan Rocker to open!

According to TPR, it does 0 - 99.4 mph in 2 seconds, so I believe the launch to be pretty incredible...but that's probably the only good part since the straights seem so prolonged :(

Re: Ring°Racer, Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany

I think riding a dead animal would be more fun than riding that.

Re: Ring°Racer, Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany

Everyone that's been on it are saying that the launch is great and powerful, but that the rest of the ride is quite uninspired and boring (as could also be seen on the official POV).

Re: Ring°Racer, Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany

HAHAHA - the funny thing is, were people really expecting something different from it? We've known the layout for over 2 years now...

Re: Ring°Racer, Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany

It was never meant to be about the layout it was about the speed which was meant to be like an F1 car, this failed though lol.

Pov looks dire worse than when it 1st ran as it's just slow.

Re: Ring°Racer, Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany

It's not slow by any stretch of the imagination, and the launch, based on other air launches, should be great.

There's literally nothing else to it though.

Re: Ring°Racer, Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany

I think it looks slow simply due to the length of the straight. It's probably totally different when on it.
