Music Recommendations

^The noises on Come to Daddy make me cry. The sounds on Avril 14th and On make me smile though. I'd listen Kim, if I didn't already know lots of Aphex Twin. Everyone should listen to stuff in this topic, because its just a posting bands topic if not, you can't really recommend something if no-one else takes any notice. Listen people!

The Lonely Island - Incredibad

1 Word.. AWESOME :D

I have recommended this so many times but at the moment I am addicted to the Innerpartysystem album. I always stick it on in the shower. Get into them while they are still on the small club circuit. They will get bigger because they are just too damn good to be kept secret for long.

La Roux - In For The Kill (Skream Remix)

just amazing. The original's cool too, La Roux will be big this year.

If you fancy a bit of a change, and a laugh, give:

Family Guy - Live in Vegas a listen.... Some of it is so funny, and the band they have is just brilliant. Sometimes they outdo the voice actors in terms of a performance..

I have just discovered the brilliance of REM. I really like their sound. I had never really listened to them before but I was watching a documentary yesterday and it had a feature on them. I love "The one I love"

Oh dear, have I got to the stage in my life where bands I like are being 'discovered' by younger people? I remember 'discovering' The Pixies about 5 years ago, only 10 years late, and now REM are in that category too.

I'll whack a recommendation out there too, its been toooooo long since I did!

Red Light Company are the band at the moment that everyone should listen to. They're on the face of it a bit of a generic indie band, but with the element that seems to be missing from a lot in that genre currently, good rousing catchy choruses. Scheme Eugene is probably the most rousing chorus i've heard in years, and they've followed that up with both Meccano and Arts & Crafts, both of which are brilliant tracks.

If you like a good indie band, with elements of old Britpop bands, give Red Light Company a listen, especially my favourite track of this year so far, Scheme Eugene.

Got to listen to the new Prodigy album the other day. It's great, has some awesome tracks on there. Can't wait to see them in April :D

Also re-discovered the Noisettes due to the Mazda 2 ad. I think they are great but they are one of those bands which I forgot the name of and couldn't find again.

Bo Burnham - Bo Burnham

I posted The Lonely Island's album in the last page, but this beats it hands down! I've been a big fan of Bo for a few years now and his songs are hilarious and politically incorrect. A good combination!

Buy It, Right Now. :)

Ever scince one of his peices was featured in one of the old Drayton Live videos, i have always liked Maksim! He basically mixes up Classical and whatever that type of music is..... I have not a clue cause its really not my sorta thing, but it just works!

Check out his version of "In the hall of the mountain king"
