Love it! Feed Me is the tits.

So I've just recently watched "Trainspotting," and this song which plays through the final scene is just perfect. It's an oldie but goodie.

Have to agree with those giving shout outs to the Black Keys and Everything Everything. Since a couple of weeks ago, I finally have every Black Keys album and, if you listen to them in order, they just get better and better.

I was going to buy Arc (Everything Everything's new album) with a HMV voucher but we know what happened there, so had it ordered while they weren't accepting. I should have it soon.

At the moment I'm enjoying Music From Another Dimension by Aerosmith, which has some really good tracks on it, and Come of Age by the Vaccines.

Nothing new, but this song's been stuck in my head a lot recently.

Why, oh why did I discover this awesome UK act only recently?

^ We have very similar tastes, it seems. :)

Here's a song I just recently discovered & have been listening to a fair bit lately. I love songs like this that have an 80's feel to them.. this one sounds quite a bit like Depeche Mode meets The Human League. :)

^I heard that song a while back on the music channels, I thought it was pretty quirky, but it's one of those one hit wonders that'll die out in a couple of weeks never to be heard again.

Sempiternal - Bring Me The Horizon
Was never a big fan of this band, but was pleasantly surprised with their new album. In fact, compared to their previous albums, it's an incredible achievement, breaking away from their noisy deathcore roots and producing something really quite emotionally engaging and artistic. The music, although a step-back from the technical circus formed from 'There Is A Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It...', sounds much more refined, and scraps the intensity for a much more balanced musicianship. Oliver Sykes sounds better than ever before (I wasn't a fan of his harsh vocals), he delivers excellent 'audible' shouts and actually sings fairly well, lyric-wise theres nothing new here, if you're a fan of Sykes' poetics you will still love them on this. From the second I heard the opening track, I knew I was in for a big surprise, spent years of trying to get into this band and failing, now this is the perfect album to start out on. Definately check this out, even if you dislike the band, it's hard not to admire the artistic approach they've took for Sempiternal.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Kanye West
What is going through Mr Wests head? If I had to describe a perfect album, I'd describe Dark Twisted Fantasy in every detail, this is an absolute masterpiece. This is far from an easy listen, and it's clear West wasn't writing this just to break a few singles into the charts, but rather writing his own mental breakdown into a piece of art. There's themes of suicide, repentance and guilt oozing throughout the writing of this album, tied together in a surreal soundscape, but is so engaging that it takes you, the listener, out of reality into the twisted mind of Kanye West. This isn't your traditional Hip-Hop album about 'guns, ho's and money', this is a Psychadelic concept album about the consequences of power, lust and mentality, most songs clock in between 5-9 minutes long, it's clear this isn't your usual mainstream LP. The guest spots do a great job of adding variety throughout the album, and the samples found from King Crimson and Bon Iver are fantastic, West really pulled out all of the shots for this. I highly recommend this album for anyone, anyone who wants to delve deep into 80 minutes of perfection.

Also just for the geeky sake of it, I love Crush 40 (they do the Sonic The Hedgehog soundtracks), they released some new songs, and they're awesome!

Apologies for the double post, but I've just got my hands on Justin Timberlakes new album 'The 20/20 Experience'. It's stunning!

You only have to watch the massive 8 minute music video for Mirrors to see the true art Timberlakes put into this album, absolute perfection. The song deals with the theme of 'love 'til death, through the thick and thin', unlike the senseless rabbling from other pop artists such as Nicki Minaj and Will.I.AM, this is actually more of an art form than pop music. The fact Justin based the song around his Grandparents relationship, with flashbacks to the past (this is a recurring theme within the album), just makes Mirrors even deeper and emotionally engaging. Timberlake himself, doesn't actually appear until around 6 minutes in the video, but this final scene is what makes the video so spectacular and 'more' than music. You seriously got to check this out! This album is unreal.

I'm loving Iggy Azalea at the moment so much.

Surprise, surprise.. the lead singer for a superstar band makes a solo record that sounds exactly like his former band! :p

Not quite sure what I like about this song so much

Just discovered this remix which apparently has been floating around for quite a while. Puts a completely different, funky spin on a classic Police tune, and I love it.

Probably the best Van Halen song you may not have heard. As someone who likes this band way too much (I have their entire recorded discography :p ), I think this song is almost criminally underrated.

Snoop's first major record appearance. Rap in its finest form.

Both of these are complete emotive awesomeness.

Found a Magpie CD the other day. Loved it and would reccomend the Seed on the Prairie ablbum to anyone.
Favourite songs are Swimming to the Other Side, Take me back to Harpers Ferry and Yellow Metal.
Annoyingly, I can't find any of their music on Youtube though.

Have their website instead: http://magpiemusic.com/first.htm
