Currently growing obsession with this track. Punching in a Dream by The Naked & Famous (careful when searching that on Youtube!).

Bit of a female vocalled Time to Pretend by MGMT, but with better sounds. Love it.

Another winner, as usual, Rob! I love it when you post in this topic (like your posts in other topics as well  ).
Hell, I even check when other people post here just in case you posted before them & I might have missed it.
Keep 'em coming bud!

Rob. You have a really good sense of music. It's very similar to mine lol!

Just because I went out the other night, I have to post this song. I used to lvoe it, I know it's quite old but it's great when you're hammered;

Now that is one hell of a tune. I'll have to pick that one up later on. Nice one!

^ No, that song was just because I went out that week and had the song stuck in my head, I don't necessarily like it, but it just wouldn't go lol!

Highly recommend these guys, watched these supporting Band Of Horses, they really are this decades new hope in music, I can't lie. They're outstanding.

That one had a bit of a David Gray feel to it & I mean that in a good way.

My newest prog addiction for you here... because it annoys me that it's relatively unheard of. Who knew good music could come out of Croatia?

Or click here if you use Spotify...

Credit to Lain for showing he's not entirely useless after all :p

In a similar vein, this is still as awesome as I've been insisting for the last few months.

For any Rammstein fans - the new Eisbrecher album title Eiszeit should be of interest.

I think it's time to add some more metal to this topic! To start off, I think the record holders of 'The World's Largest Circle Pit' award Devildriver deserve a mention with their new single Dead To Rights. It's proper awesome and filled with furious double bass drumming - my favourite!

Carrying on the trend of metal, secondly I'd like to mention Funeral For A Friend's new track, 'Front Row Seats To The End Of The World'. They're my all time favourite band, and to hear that the Welshmen have finally started making darker, heavier music has really excited me. Here it is!

Now for female-fronted death metallers Otep. They have a new album coming out soon, but this song still remains a favourite due to its sexy bassline and her demonic growls and screams. It pretty much describes my feelings towards everything!

Metal not your thing? Fair enough! Have some funky music from Linkin Park. By far the best song on their new album!

There you go, that's my lot. Happy listening!

I heard this when I went to see Black Swan the other day, on the advert for "The Adjustment Bureau".

I really enjoyed it, and felt I should share.

^^Just listened to it.

First half of the album, frankly, is pants. It's Thom Yorke tinkering with Eraser left-overs and re-warmed Kid-A/Amnesiac cuts. The welcome jazz inflections of opener "Bloom" can't mask the paucity of fresh ideas, and "Feral" in particular is plain rubbish.

The second half is MUCH better. "Lotus Flower" is a nice catchy groove interlaced with subtle shades and a lovely Yorke vocal, while"Give Up The Ghost" and "Separator" are chilled Radiohead.

Which leaves "Codex". An utterly BRILLIANT song, atmospheric piano driving a simply gorgeous Yorke vocal tinged with regret, as horns slide in, only to be switched for brief, complex, subtle strings. A song to lose yourself in.

Unfortunately "Codex" is the only high quality song there. I have to class this as their worst album, which being a Radiohead disciple makes me sad.

I've gotten used to them locking the guitars, choruses and tempo away, but now they seem to have thrown Ed O'Brien in the cellar too, while taking three years to produce 1 quality song...bummer :(.

^Might have to check out that 'Codex' track, I can still lose myself in 'Reckoner' now, that song still absolutely captivates me.

To keep with a recent theme, i'm going to mention James Blake's new track, 'The Wilhelm Scream'. Its got more of a dubstep element to it (and I take back my statement that 'Limit to Your Love' wasn't dubstep, with some proper bass, it so is!) than was previously obvious to his work, but its got such a simple but also so listenable vocal, backed by sparse electronic noises. I loves it.

Shame these guys aren't big, I found them through Sonic games sadly enough, but there songs are really addictive but the epic guitar riffs/solos', drums and catchy vocals really shine in this band. They're great, and would be brilliant live! I recommend to any rock/metal fans really. :)
