Music Recommendations

OK GO are awesome, but you can't beat the vid for A Million Ways :)

My latest obsession: Marina and the Diamonds. I've been listening to her first album, The Family Jewels, constantly for a couple of weeks now and it's brilliant.

She's **** ing HOT, too. I think I might be on the turn:

Some amazing beats and drops in this song and still relatively unknown! Love this band

New Foals song's knocking about, and its quite different for them, quite chilled out and a very layered track. Cool stuff.

Great 'wall of sound'! Really like it. Thanks for posting Mr. Beal!
I have to say I pretty much always <3 your recommendations.

^I'm glad they don't go unnoticed! There's no point me posting them if not, so cheers for listening! I have to say i'm slipping out of touch with music a little at the moment, so I need to try and drag that back! Mind you, i'm just content in hammering The XX still at the moment.

It's gotta be Pendulum!

'Hold Your Colour' was their first album, any in many peoples perceptions, the better of the two, however I say that every track on this album is an anthem from start to finish!

Again, 'In Silico' is another great piece of work from Pendulum. Still the same style but less of the DnB, and more into electronic instruments and stuff. However, every song, once again is an anthem!

Earlier this year Pendulum unveiled their new album in a prieview tour, Matter, London. It's already sounding like there best yet, I love Pendulum and they keep raising the bar out, give it a check!

'Immersion'

Laura MArling - I Speak Because I can

Such a good second album from Laura, albeit, 3 songs are B-sides from her last album, it's all produced excellently.

Hear for yourself (oh yeah and these videos are beautifully shot)

Pendulum are back, and with a bang.

This tune is quite simply amazing <3 Been looking forward to the new album for a while now, much looking forward to it.

I anticipate they'll play this live at MK Bowl. Will be epic live.

Not really a recomendation, but quite possibly the biggest musical WTF?! I've come across in a while:

a duet between Tori Amos and Cyndi Lauper, from a concept album, based on the life of Imelda Marcos, by David Byrne and Fatboy Slim...

It's out in about a week, and I HAVE to get it because Tori Amos, Cyndi Lauper and Imelda Marcos are FAB!

Ok, I like Sigur Ros, but I always found it abit of a chore to listen to an entire album, or anything. I'd ned to be in the mood.

BUT NOW! Jonsi (the lead singer) has released his solo album Go. And I have to say it's brilliant!! It's like a more listenable Sigur Ros, simply a stunning, non-stop emotional brilliant album! Highly highly recommend.

Favourite song I've heard this year! This band just gets better and better in my opinion; 1:24 gives me goosebumps everytime :)

Noone's going to listen or pay any attention, but I'm going to post it anyway.

Massive musical talent in Mat Zo, and an awesome upcoming release.

A side: "The Lost"

B side: "The Found"

Both tracks are brilliant, one haunting, emotional melodic trancer, and one happy bouncy track!
