Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin Water Coaster

Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster

^Because it's at Mirabilandia and for some reason they take FOREVER to build anything. Among Italian enthusiasts they seem quite famous for opening rides quite late into the season.

Odd looking bits sticking out the bottom there...

Looks more like mounts for booster wheels than brake mounts.

Booster Wheels? It could just be a wheel driven breaking system, I doubt it's there to "boost" the car at all. Unless you mean Kicker Wheels rather than booster wheels?

Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster

I could have also said drive tires and meant the exact same thing.

Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster

And I think that is it now, isn't it? That now just drops into water I think.

Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster

^ I tink so, that is one LONG MCBR...

Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster

Y'know... That Intamin coaster Galaxy Express 999 is tire-launched from the station to the loop.

Could be these are for increasing OR decreasing speed as necessary?

Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster

For the love of god, please tell me they are putting back all the theming that was running alongside that pathway (leading up to 'Reset') on the left??? When we went there was tarnished fences and burnt out cars etc all the way along there. Most of it is gone! :-(

This does look quite cool so far though...

OMG I didn't even realise that had gone till you pointed it out. URGH, this coaster is becoming a bit of a burden lol. Seriously though, that path up to Reset was the best themed area in the park, why go and ruin it like that?

For some reason it looks like one of the tunnels into that main area is blocked off, how weird.

Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster

^ Perhaps Thorpe have bought it all of them to bung in around Swarm [/wishful thinking]

I guess there is every possibility it will be returned when the coaster is complete but then I would imagine it would have just been moved to a nearby location ready to go back. In those pictures it looks long gone... :-(

Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster

Ew. Those colours really are hideous. I'm looking forward to seeing it complete, but I definitely think we've got out "Ugly Duckling" coaster for 2012 here!

Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster

With what could be a painful 'kink' in the track, half way down the drop...

Re: Mirabilandia |"DiVertical"| Intamin (?) Water Coaster

That split car looks disgusting and odd! Oh well, maybe it rides well, hopefully?
