What's new

Harry Potter @ IOA Updates:

I see that they've created a new dead end in Lost Continent and made a new entrance for the Dragons.

Means that it can be open whilst they construct Potter. So although it looks pretty makeshift, at least it can stay open longer.

I think the dragons have been removed, they're not there in this picture.
:(

Those dragons would have gone for tens of thousands on eBay. Idiots, if they really just scrapped them. If they had removed them, to put them in storage or put them back up later, I would have understood, but rumors say they just destroyed the Dragons.

And are there really anyone out there who likes the change to Harry Potter land?

Of course it sucks at the moment, I'm a little shocked at the removal of the dragons *hopes they don't do the same to cool frozen knight in the queueline* but to be honest, when the whole Harry Potter thing is complete, knowing Universal it's going to be jaw dropping. Fingers crossed though.

The thing is though, no matter how gorgeous it is... it's still Harry Potter land.

Something no-one cares about anymore, let alone in 10 years.

I don't even have the faith IoA can make something tacky, kiddy and crap into something good.

Ye of little faith Ben... :p

I think they will do just fine. I wouldn't be surprised if the dragons have merely gone away for a re-theme. Don't forget that Goblet Of Fire featured the dragons a fair bit and they referenced in the book a lot.

Now why would they take the dragons away to retheme rather then repaint on site.... To keep the element of surprise maybe? So they don't get damged amongst the construction of other things perhaps?

At this point it is far too early to say either way what is going on and what the direct themes will be.

Topic title changed so it is more ongoing...

Anyways, Screamscape has posted links to various site updates as follows...

One thing I can note on stright away is something Mr Hoyer mentioned a long time ago and that was the feeling that this new Wizarding World might detract from what was a lovely view across the lake of Jurassic Park. He was most definately right. This castle absolutely dwarfs the Jurassic building and does somewhat spoil that view across the lake. Shame...

Having said that, the castle does look mighty impressive!

Simple answer only one new ride.

Its a robo thing.

The other 2 are re themed.

All can be seen on the park map.

It's coming on well.
