"Green Lantern" B&M Stand Up for SFGAdv

WTF! They are painting the exit of the corkscrew again!

What do you mean Justin.. was it all yellow and now white again? I'm pretty sure.. unless they are in fact repainting it.. that it's just primer.

Aha! I've figured it out!

They painted portions of the ride yellow, so they can advertise for visitors to ride the "Not-So-Green Lantern!"

Didn't see that one coming Warner Bros., did ya?

Snoo it was a coat of primer to paint it back green.

Just a photo some kid posted on six flags' wall.
Also I heard a commercial and it said
New green stand up coaster
I'm kinda lost now. Are they going to even call it green lantern!?

So it looks like Six Flags got the deal to use their parks in that RCT Movie Sony got the rights for....

This is hilarious! So now as the paint starts to wear off that flatspin the track will go from green to yellow, back to green...with the primer mixed in there as well.

Went back yesterday to see what I could film & not only captured video of the coaster testing, but even managed to get the first riders on the coaster.

I arrived in the late afternoon to see the coaster going through the circuit.

After filming a few test runs I noticed something strange going on in the station.

The park management (I've met a couple of them) took a spin on the coaster. One of the perks of working here is being the first to ride.

After filming the riders I took a few more photos from under the drop...

Finally, here's what you really wanted to see.

Thank god they painted the corkscrew green again. It looked so bad before. I don't really like the look of the loop either, but I don't think they'll look at painting that now surely?

Still, the green does look nice.

I think they will paint the loop green, it looks awful at the moment. I love the bit of track before the drop, not sure why.:)

Maybe they're just looking to take a page of out the "Relocated Six Flags B&M Big Loops" book?

Except that yellow was Dominators original color and they just added orange to the rest of the track. This time they painted it.. changed it.. then changed it back.. :p

Mm, that loop looks, ****?

It's a shame they painted the loop then the corkscrew to it's original colours, it would look so much better all green. I know this won't actually affect the riding experience none-the-less!

I mean, I'm not even completely against an off-colored loop, but there isn't even any effort to gradually fade with the coloring.

Yeah, I had to go straight from the park to work, but I'll post photos tomorrow. The green paint is coming through the yellow on the loop & vice versa on the corkscrew.

Could be worse, it could be Firehawk's dark red vs. X-Flights laser green.
