Merc have been posting teaser pictures and the latest one make it look like they have gone the same way as Ferrari with the front. Some are saying it has the lotus front nose though.

Rbr car is meant to look like last years with the nose bit.

Tomorrow is going to be interesting.

I love the livery on the Force India but now we have a full view of the car it has got the ugly nose like most teams!

I might be slightly biased because Lewis, but the Merc is the best looking car out of the lot! It has some interesting, what I assume to be, camera pods on the nose which clearly look to be designed for some aero benefits. None of the other teams have this so it'll be interesting to see if it gives them anything.

The Red Bull also looks very good, but i'd like to see it from a few more angles as it looks like its a bit too pointy for my liking.

Still, i'd much rather be supporting a fast car rather than a good looking one, so here's hoping that Merc and Ferrari have got it right on this one!

Just caught up with testing as day #1 has kicked off at Jerez. 2 cars have already broken down on their first lap out of the pits (Ferrari and Force India) whilst the Merc is leading the highest lap count so far.

The Merc was doing so well in the first morning of testing, and then bam!

Apparently the front wing failed on the car, so no down force at the front, locked wheels under braking and he carried on into the wall.

The Torro Rosso has also been doing a grand job on the first morning. None of the other teams have been able to get their cars out of the garages for more than one lap, lol!

It's very concerning for Mercedes that it failed as soon as Hamilton genuinely started going for it. Heavily suggests that the wing/joint just isn't strong enough for the downforce.

Ted Kravitz has said he wouldn't be surprised if it happened to them again later. He was at T1 when it happened.

Wing failure are all part of testing, he's lucky it was there though and not 2 corners later.

That Caterham is interesting and for them a clever take on the rules.

Newey has said what I was saying the other day. If a car hits the back of another car straight on it's going to under it and hit the crash structure.

Kimi and Ferrari are flying. Apart from the first installation lap it's not had a single problem and he keeps going quicker without visibly pushing. <3

He's racking up a lot of laps too.

Mercedes looking to redesign front wing/nose connection. No wonder really look how tiny the connection is...

How that even got to the point of being built is beyond me! That's like an inch of metal connecting it.

Was just reading the lewis interview, he said he was just driving the car as he always has done even with the turbo so it does not look like the drivers need to change their styles. He did say though he was not pushing.

And yeah that nose is bloody stupid.

Looks like the Ferrari and Mercedes are (predictably) the teams to beat. Interesting the two works teams went for the same nose solution.

Mercedes need to sort out that connection though, no wonder it fell off when Hamilton started going at a decent speed.

The rbr looks to safe to me, many are saying the same thing.

So much talk about the lotus being illegal. As many have said in a crash if it goes in at the left it is not going to tough the structure until too late.

Pirelli making the track wet!

So far it sounds like Renualt have nothing but problems with their engines. None of their teams can do any serious running.

All the cars are just going slow anyway, they are about 10 seconds off last year even on a dry track. I hope they start pushing soon.

Ferrari engines gambling on reliability seems to be paying off. McLarens rear suspension set up attracting the most attention.
