Ms is meant to have been badly hurt in a skiing accident. Not much news at the moment all we know is that it's bad.

Hope it's not as bad as people are saying.

It's a serious head injury.

Edit.

Typical sky news saying it was serious. It's not serious at all, he banged his head on a rock but he will be ok according to the bbc.

Very serious!

The longer today went on without him saying something from hospital himself (as he did when he broke his leg in 1999 and when he crashed badly from a motorbike in 2009), the more I worried.

This is a terrible time and I will forever think badly of several people who joked of it before its conclusion. :(

Weird one, hard to ascertain at the moment whether he was fine earlier, the media reported there was nothing to worry about, and then he's taken a turn when symptoms relating to brain bleeds flared up. Or if the media just got it wrong from the start. I hope it's the latter because reports of him being in a coma prior to arriving in the hospital are not a good sign at all.

I've been told that head injuries can be quite deceptive and fickle in their nature. That's why you should never refuse medical treatment if you feel fine after a serious head injury.

Sorry to say it changed as the day went on.

Hope he makes a full recovery.

As Neal said people joke about these thing make me sick. I remember jokes from 1994 and got upset with people.

I also know how much of a fan Neal is so thoughts are with you as well.

Skiing head injuries are always very serious. In 2009 Natasha Richardson fell and hit her head while skiing in Canada and passed away from the injury, but she refused treatment immediately after the accident. I hope Michael can recover from this as I too am a huge fan of his and even have these very limited special edition Michael Schumacher Völkl P40 racing skis.

The news was just saying the coma is normal after the op he had and the hospital transfer. But they are now claiming he will have brain damage, how they know this before he wakes up I don't know.

I just shouted at the tv though as they keep showing Ralf not MS.

Will just be a waiting game now.

As ECG says he was treated straight away by some of the best.

I just remember back to Mika and he made a full recovery and went on to win two championships despite people saying he would never even live let alone drive.

I think tbh it won't be for a few days until we get an accurate idea of not only what happened, but what his current and hopefully future state will be.

After a hectic few days things seem to be more stable now from what's coming from Schumacher's people. Completely freak accident too!

In related news, Hamilton is in hot water for posting pics and videos of him pratting around on skis and snowmobiles without a helmet. I was starting to like him too! Douchebag.

Yes the pictures were before the accident so the news has now said and have been removed. The press as normal just picked up on it and blew it up. Plus lewis was not down hill skiing and pictures have also been posted of ms not wearing head protection when skiing. Tbh when I went the thought did not even cross my mind.

I can see the Ferrari ski event being cancelled as well.

Yes the ms accident was a complete freak one, go to help someone and then get hurt yourself. One inch to the left or right he would have been ok, fed up with reading that as it just reminds me again of 1994.

I have been upset about the accident seeing I was not a fan due to when he celebrated the win at Imola 1994. But it's in the past and no one deserves what him and his family are going through.

Cannot believe the jokes going round either it's not on when someone is fighting for their life.

I think most of those photos and videos are older tbh. In 2008-2009 I was fairly well known on CF for not wearing a helmet while skiing as I had a fab ski hat that I loved to wear and posted many photos of me with it on, but times changed and I have been wearing a helmet since 2010. I still have and love that hat, but won't get on the slopes without a helmet again. BTW - Aidan has always worn a helmet while skiing.

I loved that hat! Post a picture Jerry to cheer us all up!

And yeah, the pics with Schumi with no headgear are all in Ferrari garb, so that'd be 2009 at the latest. Plus there's even stuff with him in a helmet whilst still at Ferrari, showing him to be a bit ahead of the trend.
