English Football 2008/2009 Season

I've used "Football is for gays" as my team name for the last three years for the work league. And I've come third, last and first in the past three years.

As you may have gathered, I don't like football that much but I enjoying winding up those that take it too seriously.

The prize at the moment isn't defined but is more than likely going to be CF/theme park related, and it might be worth the 9month wait that the competition is!

Why am I telling you this now if I don't have a prize sorted?
So you can sign up now and not be at a major disadvantage! Hell, even if you don't like football just make a team and you never know you might get lucky! Its free entry so what the hell!

Hopefully my complete lack of football player knowledge won't hold me back.

Your a bit of a Klingon fan if you ask me ;) Jumping on the Pompey bandwagon after they won the FA cup ;)

The only reason why I follow Football is because of Fantasy Football, otherwise I wouldn't have a clue what's going on. :p

If I joined Pierre's league from the beginning, then I'ld be second. :(
 
This transfer deadline day is absolutely bizarre!
Manchester City taking over by a group from Dubai and bidding for Berbatov, Villa, Gomez and Robinho!
Berbatov bid got accepted but the strikers had a medical and is currently at Old Trafford, at first it was thought they didn't have permission but now its rumoured they agreed a deal with cash and Fraizer Campbell going the other way!
BUT Manchester Citys bid for Robinho has now been accepted! 54mins left!

Berbatov has passed his medical and is not talking to David Gill and Sir Alex Fergason.

Real Madrid have accepted an offer for Robinho from Manchester City even though he is in Spain so it could be a loan deal so the transfer goes through !
 
Robinho is now a Man City player

(not 100% sure from club tho)
 
Dimitar Berbatov is finaly at Man U for about £30.75 million.

Frazer Campbel is on loan at Spurrs.
