I love the Cobra Roll, the shape is great. I like it when you have done one half of it then you quickly turn onto the other inversion., its a great feeling.
I've been on Medusa's, Robin: The Chiller's and The Sea Serpent's(Vekoma Boomerang) and it all depends on the mfg. and the speed. The Chiller your going 80 into it which is an amazing expierience and then there's Sea Serpent's where your going about 47 mph. The smoothest is the B&M but Premier did it pretty well none the less.
I love cobra rolls, especially on B&M inverts. On inverts theyre very forcefull and have a good snap at the top, kinda like the snap on wingovers. In some cases though theyre headbangers, still very fun though to me.
Well after reigniting my vekoma boomerang love affair, I have to say, when forcefull and pulled off right, they are a bloody great element. All the way round, all you get is force, force, force, a never ending barrage of positives and lats. Plus they look damn sexy.
Personally I feel they look ugly, and most unfortunately are forceless, so what is the point of even having it? Im sure the big ones like on Hulk and B&R The Chiller, are good, but vekomas are rough and boring to me. The floorless ones bore me to deathI've never been on an invert with one, but i think the experience would be slightly more pleasent than the others, but give me a quick and intense flatspin over anything else.
Well, personally they are one of my favourite inversions (maybe 3rd or 4th or around there) especially on inverted coasters such as dueling dragons or raptor. They're alright I guess ..
It really depends on the type of coaster. I dont' like them on inverted, but I like them all the other types. B&M is the only company that makes good Cobra Rolls, the other companies (like Intamin) have rough ones.
