Cedar Point | Valravn | B&M Dive Machine

Cedar Point shared a blog post with breaking news: it snows in Ohio. Sandusky actually received 5+ inches of snow over the weekend (Yes, in April), which lended for some nice photos around the park, including Valravn! https://www.cedarpoint.com/blog-article ... ook-Winter

Hooray for Midwest weather. It snowed 10(yes 10) times in one day earlier this month. The next day was 72* F.

I really like snowy photos of amusement parks, though. So serene. <3

Apparently Tom Hooper is directing the Valravn webcam now. Talk about your zoom in!

Yeah, that looks just, trying too hard to be funky for the sake of it.

It's supposed to be modern but it already looks dated.

Oh well, it's CP, looks are never the priority.

Here is the latest construction update as well. Emphasis on sidewalks and pathways.

Also some B-Roll of ride testing:

I was in Sandusky this past weekend tending to wedding planning, and did stop by Shoreline Park to check out some of Valravn's testing.

The view from across the bay is a bit obstructed, as Valravn's drop faces directly north. However, I was able to watch the train come out of the Immelmann, and run the second half of the course. They were testing with a full MCBR stop, which should be more akin to the final ride experience. Even still, at a distance, the second drop and immelmann appeared to be a good pace, while the barrel roll looked to feature some hangtime.

In the last shot it's so graceful through that Immelman <3

Saying that, most B&M's are

Part of it could be that the wide dive coaster trains kind of look like wings on an airplane. That didn't occur to me until this video.

Some fog has set into Cedar Point, which pairs nicely with the lights package for Valravn which is presently turned on. You can see some other landscaping has taken place, which should make for a nice setting for the coaster.

I think its cool they've just got the "V" instead of the full name. Also love the style of the arrows and also the juxtaposition between the industrial metal bolted sign and the more organic stone pillars.

I like the flying V!

The queue in general appears to be shorter - hopefully a nice indicator of good capacity.

I noticed that too. But yeah, 3 high cap trains and a somewhat shorter ride should make the capacity pretty good on this.
