Busch Gardens Tampa | Cobra’s Curse | Mack spinning coaster

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa | Cobra’s Curse | Mack spinning coas

I absolutely adore this! - It looks great and I think the backwards part and the spinning only adds to it.
I like what they're saying, about it sorta being in 3 chapters, first facing forward, then backwards and then free spin. - That system has potential to be a great tool in storytelling, whether or not Busch Gardens is utilizing that, I'm not sure...

Only thing I dislike slightly is the length of the ride and how it seems to throw a lot of energy away when it hits the first MCBR.

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa | Cobra’s Curse | Mack spinning coas

Yeah, I actually enjoy spinners as well. This'll be a great addition to the park. It'll be a nice stepping stone for thrill seekers in training. Really want to go to Florida now!

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa | Cobra’s Curse | Mack spinning coas

So far I found that the Maurer spinners - like Tarantula at Parque De Attraciones De Madrid - are spinnier than the Mack spinners - like at Linnanmaki. But honestly this will be a new size dimension for spinning coasters and am eager to see how it turns out.

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa | Cobra’s Curse | Mack spinning coas

Uhhh Linnanmaki has a Maurer spinner too. The only recent Mack spinners in Europe are at Le Pal and Toverland

Don't know if this has been posted, but here's what the station is meant to look like...

This is a great video to show the area of the coaster in comparison with Montu.

Don't think this has been posted yet on here.

Cars have been unveiled.

Also another look at the lift tower:

That Tower is awful. I really struggle to understand this ride and why it looks like it does.

I hope it at least rides well.

I hate all of it, it looks like it's made of Lego, so boxy and unimaginative <//3

I actually kind of like it. It pops out. I like that kind of thing.

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa | Cobra’s Curse | Mack spinning coas

I will admit the tower is weird. I feel like the weird elements and the new type of spinning trains were enough without it needing the weird lift tower as well. (Edit: I suppose the gerst spinners are similar otherwise though.) Will stay optimistic as I like the rest of it. The lift won't affect the rest of the ride after all (as long as it isn't a maintenance nightmare).

Mako Madness uploaded a good hour of construction tour-y goodness, plus a train reveal!

To relieve you from the drought of testing videos.

You can't actually see much at all, but the shots from the train are great as due to being so close you begin to realise what it will feel like to be at the path area around the ride (which is one of my favourite things about the coaster, that there is a lot of interaction with paths and terrain.)
