Who wants to see the Pleasure Beach's awful new park map?
I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates it.
Haha, if anyone’s familiar with the game Parkitect it reminds me of that.
Coaster looks great though! Love how compact it is, especially how it looks jammed up against two coasters like that. Looks to be really well paced through some of those tight maneuvers too.
Looks like RCT2
We got more Pleasure Beach Experience members to pass on their thoughts on ICON, the reviews are great so far.
Think that map's actually quite decent.
Ahhhhh I don't want to get my hopes up for the ride because there's always going to be a bit of fanboyism hyping it up a bit upon first opening but I REALLY need to ride it asap.
I quite like the map. I enjoy the simplicity of it.

Must be the only map that makes the rides look more spaced out than they actually are.

I was fortunate enough to ride Icon today (in the last but one row) and it definitely delivered.
When you compare the ride to Nemesis - my benchmark for UK coasters - I think BPB's new kid on the block might have it beat. Sustained intensity is the only thing of note that's missing from Icon in my opinion, but there's more than enough pops of air and exciting shifts in direction and height to keep you on your toes. I could imagine marathoning the Mack coaster for far longer than is sensible with the B&M machine, ultimately getting more enjoyment out of the process too. Pleasingly, very little of its quite considerable ride duration is wasted on quiet or dull moments - thanks in part to the absence of a lift hill and the interesting arrangement of different elements/ride progression.
I think I was always going to like Icon because Blue Fire impressed me a lot when I rode it several years ago. I'm just a little surprised to find a very similar, high quality coaster from a top manufacturer at Blackpool Pleasure Beach of all places!
I like that map. Alton Towers had something similar mid 00’s did they not?
They got Icons track the wrong colour though.
Ahh so excited now. I know people might be getting caught up in the hype a bit, but the fact that these reviews are all coming from early morning half filled rides is making me very optimistic. And yeah the map's pretty retro. I like it.
They did indeed and it was .
Now that she knows how much people love it, fabulous Amanda will take even more pleasure in it when she rips it down without notice.
I'm in two minds about the map. It's fairly accurate, so works as a map, but somehow downplays the attractions. It's almost as if Valhalla or Grand National are of equal interest as The Hot Ice Show.
Oh, yeah, hang on...
I hate it - there is no Wild Mouse.
And no it is not yet time to stop going on about it!
Oh yeah, I forgot about the Wild Mouse.
Really liked icon, I won't hype it up, because I understand that is annoying, but yeah I prefered it to blue fire, but Helix is still my number one.

The map has grown on me since I first saw a pic of it at the start of the year, but I don’t like how Icon looks on it. Just Icon alone reminds me of the Thorpe Park maps.
The map has stuff missing for a start. Where is the Steeplechase track? And the Big Dipper turnaround section is missing. Does nobody proof read these? I have a fair few BPB park maps, and whilst I don’t analyse them with a fine toothed comb, to leave out big chunks of a couple of rides is a bit crap
Edit: Actually the Steeplechase track is shown, I think I’m referring to an early map from this season where it wasn’t present. Still, Big Dipper comes to an abrupt end after the dive bend !
Here is yet another photo update by you guess who:-
4 days to Icon.
