I am however a John Petrucci fanboy given i own two of his signature guitars.
I think I'm going to like you...

Can't see how you won't given i've noticed the majesty symbol avatar and already like you just through that! I feel that dream theater are made up of the absolute best in their field musicians and are musically and technically amazing.

Weirdly I'm a huge DT fan and have sen them on quite a few occasions now! Hope the pics scratch your John Petrucci itch.

I still stand by what I said.

Anyone able to play "Through the Fire and Flames" and make it sound like it's supposed to has to be pretty high up there.

^but they never perform it onstage I heard.

I've heard them perform it live... and it was fracking terrible! It didn't seem like a song, more like a race between the band members as to who could finish it first.

Brian May is amazing. Especially onstage. And yeah Inverse people call them phonies a lot and saying that if they can't play it onstage then they shouldn't have made it at all.

National Anthem: Jimi Hendrix style

But not the White House!

In order to compare to May's Buckingham Palace feat it had to have been at the White House :p

Aww, no mention of Alex Lifeson from Rush? YYZ has a really really amazing guitar line, just for one example. Also, I think Lindsey Buckingham is an extremely underrated guitarist; he really needs more credit for what he's done with post-Peter Green Fleetwood Mac. Anyone who's seen or heard a live version of I'm So Afraid will probably agree.
