Battlestar Galactica - Duelling Coaster for Singapore

Well, it looks very slow paced. Can't they just increase the launch speed to compensate? But then of course the duelling moments will be lost..

Does look a tad slow, but like loefet said, it may just be breaking in. Although it does look quite dull tbh.

If there's anything I've learned from pre-opening coaster videos, it's to not judge a ride by it's speed. Everybody said Manta looked slow and it turned out to be just the right speed for all its elements; I can't imagine it going at a faster pace.

That said, while it does look a bit slower then I would even expect for a coaster of this size, I think the speed is going to be enhanced when you have the other side running too. I don't think you're going to notice the speed so much onride when you're watching the other coaster flyby and stuff. I expect you'll be paying more attention to that since it seems like these flybys are a little bit more drawn out then the really quick interactions on Dueling Dragons.

Human just looks.....boring? Obviously I can't comment on it as I have yet to ride it (clearly) but still, it looks a bit pants in my opinion. I concur with Snoo, Cyclon ftw.

I've seen the duelling a few times now and it's actually far superior to Duelling Dragons in my opinion. There are probably 5 or 6 times when you will be aware of the other train (I won't call them 'near misses'). In fact the Human train actually 'chases' the Cylon train for alot of the ride, so you'll get some great visuals on that side (whether that was by design or luck - who knows..). So I think B&M have been outdone on the duelling. Not sure how it rides though. Only a few Vekoma guys have ridden it at the moment. Looking forward to the public response.

Yea, they were not even close to finished last time I looked.. I guess they have worked day and night the past weeks!

Anyway it will be really exciting to finally see a pov of Battlestar and the other rides!

As it seems at the moment then the first week will have a lot of limitations, like a maximum of 3000 guests/day and such, I can imagine that all attractions may not be opened or running with full capacity.
So it's pretty much a soft opening before the masses are going to be set free...

I will still hope that we will see a lot of images and videos of the place.

Are you referring to the sentosathemepark.blogspot.com video? As I said earlier, the duelling is pretty good. They do cross at every opportunity (that video is just showing the wrong bits of track).

It's not perfect but it's not bad either.

Just been looking at pictures of the park on Sreamscape and the park just looks amazing, they have done a great job.

The Human side looks OK, pretty standard family coaster really. But the Cylon side looks really cool! Especially the funky downwards inline twist thing near the end. I think Vekoma have done a good job on these.

And for your viewing pleasure, Canopy Flyer and Jurassic Park vids too!

I agree that Cylon side looks better than the Human side. Human looks fun, but a bit tamer than Cylon. They're both pretty good family rides and they look like a lot of fun.

I'd like to know how smooth it is...
