Loudon Castle to close for good

So a bit of an update regarding Loudon Castle. Firstly it seems the proposal to build a golf course there is long gone. New plans see it host glamping pitches, a waterpark among other things. General info here...

I am hoping to make a trip when everything is up and working. I hear the wheel and Whacky Worm is now in operation.

    Accident at Alton Towers

Not sure if it has been mentioned previously seeing as there are 40 plus pages but did any of the other Infinity coasters close after the accident? I presume not considering there isn't an exact clone of the Smiler?

    Dreamland Margate News

Probably cost a fair bit to restore the wildmouse back to working condition. Imagine, like the Scenic all the wood will need replacing which won't come cheap. I am however sure after a few years we can start to see the more permanent attractions fly back in. Worth pointing out however that some...

    Dreamland Margate News

Would be low maintance for them to leave it like that. Personaly, I would rather them have it painted. On the planning application it stated the ride would be painted the colours of its last incarnation though I also read a comment that said the timber was done with and it would likely be left...

    Holiday park selling coaster...

Blimey, that ride has been round the block. I remember riding it at Dreamland Margate when it was yellow and purple. Wish I could remember how it rode back in its early seasons though I imagine it was nothing short of your average wild mouse coaster.

Kent, England | The London Resort | Entertainment Complex

I am a strong supporter of the scheme (being local to the area), though even I have to agree with Ben on that one. I believe there is a very good chance it will happen in some form but I would never use the word 'definitely'. It is such a colossal project that any number of things could happen...

New Shrek (yawn) attraction for Merlin County Hall

I am a bit tired of the IP craze Merlin have going at the moment. I am sure they bring in the crowds to some degree, but they just fail to interest me at all. I prefer creativity...

Re: Scenic Railway in Margate news As they are only allowed a certain amount of people on site at one time due to H&S I definitely wouldn't recommend just showing up. The guy signing people up for the Big Clear Day on Saturday said he would be going through the list and emailing people sometime...

    Legoland Korea 2016

Legoland has always been special to me, especially in my childhood. Yet the more they create, the more I disconnect from it. It is like the Dungeons and Eye branding all over again. The London Eye was there first, now they have tried replicating the experience throughout the world. I know...

Smiler shuts after wheel hits someone

Looks like they bit of a little more than they could chew. I wish them luck and hope they get it sorted, or at least riding better.

    Slammer

Hasn't stopped Thorpe before? They could have easily got rid of it last year when it was partially deconstructed for half a season; they didn't. Not saying they won't but I recon they could squeeze another year or two out of it if they wanted to.

    Slammer

It was removed from the map because Thorpe Park didn't believe they would have the ride ready for Fright Nights so edited out to avoid disappointment. Whether it will reopen next season remains to be seen. Personally I can see it returning despite all the issues it has.

    Dreamland Margate News

Re: Scenic Railway in Margate news I would not disagree with any of that. On the one hand Dreamland should be able to start drawing people back as soon as it reopens however on the other side of the coin, the town as a whole will need to grow and adapt with it if they want to have Margate as a...

    Dreamland Margate News

Re: Dreamland heritage plan backed by Appeal Court I have faith. Even in its final seasons Dreamland was still a viable venture (and look at the state of it then) The only reason it closed was because the owner wanted a retirement plan and converting to houses meant the land value increased...

    Paultons go retro 2014

Judging from pictures, the new Carousel is the one that previously operated at Camelot though it seems to be unrelated to the one that visited Thorpe and Alton.
