Re: Kings Island 2014 Roller Coaster
With a plot of usable land that large, any chance they do something to substantially expand the actual walkable area of the park, perhaps in addition to a new coaster?
Major topic bump, but whatever. Probably one of the coolest/creepiest abandoned theme park pics I've seen yet:
It's from Nara Dreamland, the Disneyland ripoff in Japan that closed in 2006. Rollermonkey posted a link to some excellent pictures of it a few pages back, but here's a different...
Seems like you'd be going to a lot of trouble & potentially risking the loss of your iPod to add a relatively minimal amount to the overall experience.
Re: Mitch Hawker Steel Coaster Poll 2012 - Voting!
Is it irresponsible to submit a ballot that only includes your top 40 or so ranked coasters? I've only ridden 88 steel coasters and I still can't be arsed to distinguish between the lower half of them.. just a whole bunch of meh, mostly. A tip...
Griffon, Millennium Force, Loch Ness Monster, El Toro, Skyrush.. those are the top ones I can think of offhand from what I've done. Interestingly enough I don't really get this feeling from B&M hypers despite the long drops.
Some more old stuff I just watched:
Vicky Cristina Barcelona
I liked it.. entertaining movie with fairly unique characters & a surprisingly fast pace for a drama-comedy. Anything with Scarlett Johansson involved has me interested from the get-go.
Midnight Cowboy
It's good, but damn is it...
I think maybe that's the reason 'problems' is put in quotation marks in the topic title? I get the feeling that the OP's whole point was for people to make fun of the silly stuff they used to worry about back when they were that age.
It's OK. Much better since they re-vamped their sauce & crust a couple years ago... before that it was like eating cheese-covered cardboard. Also helps that they are a tad less expensive then most other chain pizza delivery joints. Personally, I prefer Pizza Hut for delivery, but the best chain...
In America, salt & vinegar chips almost invariably come in blue or blue-green packaging.
I don't know that I've ever seen cheese & onion as a flavor combination, though it sounds tasty. Cheddar & sour cream is much more common & typically has packaging featuring lots of orange or...
Re: Bottom 10
Hm, interesting topic. In the interest of fairness, I'll exclude kiddie & family rides which I find boring but weren't designed to entertain people my age anyway. So my bottom 10 would probably be these coasters, in some order:
Hurler (KD & Carowinds) - The first coasters I...
Eh, as a completely neutral fan who didn't have a dog in that fight, I think the reffing was pretty spotty in favor of both sides. Roddy probably should've drawn a flag on that last pass, but then again the Falcons got a major gift earlier in that same drive on that long pass to Harry Douglas...
Re: Those crazy Japs...
Also, not to be the PC Police here, but am I the only one who thinks it's a little odd that we can just have a racial slur in the topic title and nobody says boo?
