Chessington World Of Adventures | Croc Drop | Zamperla Sky (Drop) Tower

Yes, Croc looks ridiculously fab. Still think the log is turd, but what’s not to love about an enormous crocodile munching at the sky?

Coaster with the most air miles

Reading that Indiana Beech is getting “Triple Loop”, that means it’s been from Malaysia to England, then Mexico and now USA. That’s a lot of miles (I can’t be arsed to work it out*). Ignoring established recognised travelling coasters, and it’s journey from the fabrication plant to the park...

Your year in review - 2020 edition

I last rode a roller coaster on the 22nd November 2019. Unless I ride a cred in the next coupe of days, that's a whole year. Incredible! Closest I physically got to a roller coaster this year was visiting Sandown a couple of weeks ago, where I was about 10 metres from a closed cred. I chose to...

    CoasterForce Lives 2021

Hello Goons...I'll cut to the chase, unfortunately this post isn't a list of CF Lives planned for next year. It's more of a "what we're thinking" type of statement. Cancelling our 2020 trip plans was heartbreaking. We had a cracking schedule with a lot of extras thrown it. It would've been one...

Busch Gardens Tampa | Iron Gwazi | RMC Gwazi | 2022

Looks great. Still can’t get on with the track colour though. Reminds me of the mouth rinse water at the dentist.

    Gröna Lund | Monster | B&M Invert | 2021

Peter Osbeck. A theme park hero of mine who I’ve been lucky to meet on a couple of occasions. Funnily enough, when this coaster was announced, I dropped him an email and he called me to tell me more. He’s such a smashing bloke and a mega enthusiast - at IAAPA last year (or may have been year...

Coasters for which the queue is better than the ride?

Wodan for sure. Swear that coaster is only bummed because it’s at Europa.

Universal IoA | Jurassic World VelociCoaster | Intamin Blitz | 2021

Yep, off rides don’t necessarily tell the full story. I think it looks fab. Although these Intamin bad boys are ace with all the launches, inversions and whatnot, but for me the interaction with the terrain is what does it for me. Think Maverick through the “canyon” or basically all of Taron.

That logo ? Created using WordArt?

US Election; what are your thoughts?

Trump is an idiot but he’s entertaining. It’s probably in the UK’s interest that Trump wins, because we’d probably get a better and quicker post-Brexit trade deal.

    The TV we watch...

Just spunked through all available episodes of Good Girls. Was put off by the blurb but actually turned out to be equally as addictive as Breaking Bad. Gotta love an anti-hero and dark humour.

    Your Favourite Ever CF Lives

Just remembered that I spent a GhosterForce day at CWoA walking around wearing fluorescent jacket and a mullet wig. And I didn’t give a ****. The Spanish Live we did with PAC, where I did a faffle and all the Spanish realised the prizes were ****, so they joined in with the laughing and...

It is not all about rollercoasters...

There’s a slight difference between being a theme park or a roller coaster enthusiast, but they compliment each other. Some people like getting creds, some people like soaking up the atmosphere. Some people like hardcore thrills, some like a story. A good roller coaster doesn’t have to be...

    Your Favourite Ever CF Lives

There are, of course, a lot of "big" things that happened at Lives that are very memorable - track walks, ERT, backstage tours, meet & greets etc. The "perk" stuff. They're all great and add to the day, but without wanting to sound too cliched, it really is the little things that stick in my...

    Best ever IAAPA reveals

With IAAPA not taking place this year, they’ll be no big reveals and excitable coverage unless they do a virtual expo...but it wouldn’t be the same. To fill the gap this year, I’m considering making a Top Number to be Determined IAAPA reveals video/list. As always, your input in these projects...

    Roller Coaster Day 2020 Survey

Thanks, appreciate the kind words, but as you said, the question is outside of this topic, so please could you set up a separate topic for it so this is focused purely on the poll. Cheers. @CrashCoaster Yep, if we run it again, we’ll include a wider range of merch. Remember this is the first...

    Roller Coaster Day 2020 Survey

Bit of both really. It is more elementy than inversiony, and it had 3 submissions. The “free entry” questions were a bit of pickle to sort through. So many options submitted, so I had to unfortunately draw a line somewhere to make it manageable. It’s the first year of doing this so next year...

We had a great response - thank you! The results will be announced tomorrow morning, but as it's Roller Coaster Day Eve, you can open one present now... Do you own a season pass?

    Roller Coaster Day 2020 Survey

Ahhh, pins! Bollocks! Well thought @JoshC. Maybe next year. And, tbh, the question about what do you like most about a coaster, that was a last minute entry otherwise “intensity” probably would’ve been included. If we do something similar next year, we’ll make changes. Thanks to everybody who...
