Photo trip report of Day 1, taken straight from facebook:
It's day 1 of the latest CF Euro Live and we're kicking off in style with champagne and coasters, does it get any better than this?
50 Euros, in hindsight, far too much
See, is there anything Gaffer tape can't fix?
A...
Disagree, look at Vadge's video from the Dorset, Devon Cornwall trip a few months back, or many of Big John's video (especially the one with MCR - Mane Event 2006?) they use photos extensively and are still great videos.
However, I do agree that Steven's video was awful, bizarre music choice...
I thought it blew Montu out of the water, but then, Montu has always been my most disappointing coaster. Katun certainly kept the pace and forces right up until the final brake run, which is something Montu fails to do, as it dies after the immelman.
Now I'm in accountancy mode as opposed to sleepy post-Live mode, let me clarify my earlier post.
Firstly, by "deep maths" I mean that the name itself is a load of rubbish. He might as well have called it Statistical High Integer Transformation Maths or, Cartesian Randomised Algorithm...
Firstly, I've never heard of this so called "deep maths" and I can't find mention of it on the channel 4 website anywhere.
However, in the coin trick he showed up, I would expect that Derren's "team" would win on average 7 times to Andrew's 1.
The reasoning is as follows, remember that...
1 - Toverland Cool - A small park punching above its weight, OK in my book.
2 - Blue Fire - Europa Park Uncool, firstly, Mack have built it, and secondly Europa Park is over-rated.
3 - SkyHawk - Cedar Point Cool. Swings on Steriods are cool.
4 - Six Flags Magic Mountain Uncool. A lot of...
That's hardly a video, more of a slideshow of some rides, some members and some random buildings in Germany almost completely unrelated to anything.
^ The above is more of an observation than a criticism, after all. GoonCAM. Do Not Want.
I assume that "starting work" for office based professions means being on the premises by 9am, and by premises, in the building you actually work, not in the car park. If the computer takes ten minutes to boot, then that's not your fault as you're booting up the computer in order to work, not...
Agreed, not everything can be explained. But surely "You saw a ghost" is just that, an explanation. OK, it's a pretty bizarre explanation, and one that flies in the face of known science. But it's still an explanation, a way of rationalising an otherwise unknown quantity.
Really though, until...
Whilst travelling I visited a few parks by myself, but mainly on the basis that they were nearby and thus not taking up a large amount of time.
As for riding "alone" in a group of three, of course, that doesn't really count anyway.
I've also done a few rides on my own such as drop towers...
Farup my Frikadella - Day 1
As per last year, a group of bleary eyed CFers congregated at stupid o'clock at Stansted Airport earlier than meet-up time as they were anxious to get started on the trip, although that time was obviously necessary in order for Slayed to retrieve all the things...
I did not want this double post. Please take it away or I shall fling a flummoxed baboon at you.
Anyway, seeing as I've double posted, you may as well know that Hansa Park consisted mainly of a large bouncy trampoline and an epic waterfight. Although top prize may have to go to Dan for an...
All I can say right now is that the Live just gone was better than even the most beloved whistling solo!
From trampolines to towers, and from ERT to UBT it's been great, full reports starting tomorrow, just to say thanks to Slayed for organising, Ian for driving the Audi of Love and get well...
Well let's see, prior to Schumacher, Benetton had already had 5 race wins and finished 3rd in the constructors championship twice. This puts them into the reasonably successful constructor category. Unlike say, Toleman, who were complete minnows, and for whom Senna scored their only podium...
Top Gear jumped the shark about four seasons ago during the America special when Clarkson arrived back with a cow on top of his car. Ever since then I've been unable to watch an episode without cringing somewhere along the line - it's still good though, but not unmissable.
"Aside from when they got killed". Haven't you realised yet that us F1 fans are trying to teach you that it wasn't the fault of these drivers that they were killed - hence they were good drivers, who were just in unfortunate situations.
As for checking tyre pressures - rather than question...
I'm going to go with yes, it's hilarious. But really it's not about the joke, but about the appropriateness of the situation. but that's the same with any joke.
I don't understand why his music is going back to the top of the charts, it's as good (or bad) now as it was then, just because he's gone it hasn't changed his music. I was in HMV yesterday and saw them replacing all the most prominent racks of music with MJ albums and I really wanted to shout...
Car racing is controlled by the Ku Klux Klan? Wow, any more National Enquiry headlines I should know about? Perhaps the one about Michael Jackson was not a good entertainer as he is now dead.
Anyway, since you mentioned it, I did a bit of research to find out when the last time a Formula 1...
