Dragon’s Fury and Skips crisps. What the prawn flavoured melt-in-your-mouth, maize-based snacks had to do with it is still beyond me? Maybe a connection with the queue-skipping help yourself fastrax ticket machines in the early days?
Nether of them were aesthetically jarring, they simply bugged me.
It's funny, I was thinking that the Fury / Skips combo was an example of a ride sponsorship done right. Not because they had any relevance to one another, but because it wasn't aesthetically jarring and was just 'there'. I don't remember it being around the ride at all actually, just on flyers, etc.
If a park wanted to use a big new ride to gain some extra money by selling some space to a sponsor, it probably would be my go-to example of how I'd want it done.
Most iconic would be Monsanto & Adventure Through Inner Space. "Chemicals are great and not harmful one bit" - and the fall out of Agent Orange a few years later.
