Worst park for pinning

It used to be Lightwater Valley on The Ultimate in the mid-late 1990s. They REALLY used to press that lap bar down tight - way to bruise a child's thighs!

These days they're happy to let you have six inches of gap or so!

I immediately thought of Slammer when I saw this. The lapbar leaves plenty of room, but the shoulder restraints leave bruises! Seriously, HATE those type of restraints, they're ridiculously painful and gives you extreme cramping pains through the cycle.

For rollercoasters... Obviously G-Force, and maybe PMBO at times.

For a coaster, the worst would have to be one ride on Gwazi where the op was actually trying to get it down as far as possible. Of course, he was my friend, so maybe it doesn't count... :P

Also, Phoenix at BGT is bad too, although that's not the ride op's fault. The chest restraints seem to weigh about 50 lbs, and the lapbar part presses way too hard before letting up a bit. It really hurts...

I sometimes accidently pin myself in. Quite a lot of the time I see if the restraint will go down another click. Most of the time, I regret it as soon as it goes the extra click.

I had that problem on Baco, again my fault entirely! Then at the end of the ride the restraint didn't release, so I was sat there for about 5 minutes with two staff members literally jumping on my chest in the hope that it will release... It did, eventually...

SpinSpider for me exceeds the definition of "pinning" and introduces the term "stapling". I could hardly feel my legs as I walked off it the last time I rode it. Keep in mind that this is a ride with strong positive Gs that usually forces blood to your legs.

The rest of TusenFryd as a whole, though, isn't half bad.

One thing I do remeber that happened to Barry on Air at the live earlier this year. Poor guy was practically getting mauled by the op rather than pinned. Then again, he didn't really make a noise or flinch so he could be like a terminator or something...

^ Barry is usually on a different planet, so he probably didn't realise.

Other then G-Force i would say i have had bad pinning from all Vekoma SLCs I have rode, I have only rode JO, Kumali and InFusion but all of them have been near nut crackers.
My worst has to be El Condor at Walibi. Ther ride op was seriously trying to kill me >< Totally unnecessary since I've been left with plenty of room on other SLCs and still managed to survive! :P

Thirteen!

Unlucky for me. Every time I go on I push forward and then when it's dispatched I sit back for airtime ahoy... but one time they rechecked and the ride op nearly crushed my poor lungs.

one of my latest rides on air. The op pinned me. Then he left to the back rows. It was painful. But then he came back to the front row and re-pinned me. I thougt I was dying.

i would have to say g force at drayton manor... i got on the train, pulled down the lap bar and thought "got this i horrible i cant breathe" ... and then came the ride operaters who pushed down on it further, and throughout the (thankfully) short ride, i thought my ribs were going to break.... and as for my dad.. well, he is not the smallest of guys :/

Removing the pinning wouldn't help though. The restraints are designed so that when they lock in place, they're free to get tighter. And when they find the few extra inches, the bar won't loosen up. So that pull up from the drop out of the station thrusts the bar into your lap and the bar stays there for the remainder of the ride. Ack!

Park-wise I do think mingo was pretty bad - there was pinning on Mumbo Jumbo and Kumali.

My worst experiance however, was with Helga the ride op on Balder! She had it in for me after seeing me try and snuggle down in the seat to hide the gap! Evil lady

Another ludicrous ride was Drenched/Hydro at Oakwood. I guess the restraints have been replaced since someone died on it, and now have to be literally forced down into your legs and chest. My larger male friends refused to go on it more than once after finding it difficult to breath!
