World's Tallest (Freestanding) Gyro Drop Tower and Slingshot for I-Drive Orlando

I think that's part of the 'ICON' brand, creating 'THE X, THE X, THE X' as to make them... I don't know... ICONIC..?

Another FunTime drop tower, huh? Isn't Highlander 400 feet as well? I mean, claiming the world record for "tallest freestanding tower" isn't much, but since Orlando is a tourist trap, I guess it has a pass...

What's your evidence that it's going to have the lapbars over the OTSRs?
I know I´m late but I think its actually pretty save to say that it will have lapbars, because thats what Funtime usually puts on their drop towers. The OTSRs on Highlander are a special request by Hansapark because they wanted the visitors to feel save during the tilting of the seats. So I think the chances of that one having lapbars are much higher than it having OTSRs. Can´t be 100% shure though.

If this is their "Skyfall" model then it's more likely to have OTSRs. The ones at Wiener Prater and Nigloland don't have lapbars.

Current progress from Midway Mayhem, the droptower has gone vertical while the towers for the sling shot look completed.

Is it confirmed how tall this is going to be? How much taller will it be than the current record holder?
The Orlando Freefall will stand 430 feet tall and surpass the current record holder, Zumanjaro at SFGADV, by 15 feet (which only stands 415 feet tall and Kingda Ka’s total height isn’t counted).

Saw the tower in all its glory last night driving home from work. The SlingShot, for being the world's tallest, don't seem so big (in fact they almost look smaller than the ones further down I Drive) but the drop tower is massive looking.

Last night, was the first night, the tower was lit

Still a lot of ground work to be done at the base of both rides but they should be opening within a few weeks (I was hoping for an IAAPA preview.... but that clearly won't be happening)
Yeah, it seems like a missed opportunity not having even a soft opening for IAPPA attendees. The drop tower looks massive and great, at night, definitely suits the park's name.

Ngl don't really see the point of this park when there's nothing to look at in that flat mix of concrete and swampland, besides the slingshot these rides are view oriented yet there's nothing
