Which rides are top of your flat ride bucket list?

If you were to make a flat ride bucket list (i.e. a list of flat rides that you haven't ridden but would like to) which rides would on your list?

I'm still in the process of deciding about mine, but it will probably include some classics because I am a fan of retro. :p   I haven't really ridden that many flat rides compared to some so my entire list would be pretty long.

This website is pretty helpful for finding flats:

So; what are your top 5 or 10 want-to-ride flat rides? They can be as rare or common as you like, with as silly reasoning as you fancy!

Ok, so these are some of my top ones:

Bayern Curve
Alpine Bobs
Musik Express/Himalaya
Huss Condor (looks cool but not sure it would be that good)
Huss Fly Away (although it looks a bit bleurgh)

Other honourable mentions: Tri Star/Orbiter, Old Style Whip, Century 2000, Tagada (although it looks bizarre), Gravitron and 1001 Nachts.

^Probably the Sledgehammer also which looks like it might be a better ride than some of the others I have listed.

^ Huss Condors are pretty crap in my opinion. They're slow, boring, forceless, not tall or open enough to be a nice panoramic ride and they feel like they're going to fall apart.

As for my wishlist, I'll have to think about it a bit more. Falcon's Fury, Uppswinget (really regret not riding it last year) and SpinSpider at TusenFryd are some that come in mind.

None?

There are a few fun novelties out there for flat rides. But in general, I wouldn't be miffed if I were to not ride a new, unique flat ride.

Zumanjaro, Falcon's Fury…

Yeah that's about it tbh. There isn't much else that I feel the need to try.

I'd love to try a Zipper, I also really want to go back to Tivoli just for Vertigo. Then any drop tower I haven't yet experienced, not fussy, any of them.

Black Widow at Kennywood
maXair at Cedar Point
Demon Drop from Dorney.
more drop towers

I have had the chance to ride all of those but either I was nervous or to obsessed about getting coasters to bother. I will take a shooter or dark ride over a crazy spinning inverting free falling flat ride any day. I feel like a old man with some flats because when I was a kid I could whore any spinning swinging inverting ride that I saw but now one spin on a ride and it totally screws me up for the rest of the day.

Yeah, that's what I am thought from looking at a POV but sometimes they can be deceiving. Maybe I'd have more fun photographing or seeing one at night with lights on rather than riding one!

As you can tell from my list rare or vintage qualities can trump intensity or reputation. I generally avoid intense spinning and inverting flats (as it appears quite a lot of us do).

I have always wondered about looping starships (which have the rare factor) but I don't usually like long periods of hang time so I am not sure that I'd like them. Busch garden's one does look good though.

Chance Zippers are hilarious!

That being said I really don't have a list of flat rides that are on my bucket list. Falcon's Fury and Zumanjaro would be up there but I don't really consider drop towers to be flat rides

Spin Spider is a big bastard at Tusenfryd. And I love Frisbees, so I think the world's biggest would suit me fine.

My number one flat ride that I want to ride is a Zamperla Power Surge. I want to ride it because of how disorienting it is, how unique it is, how much it goes upside down, the seat and harness looks comfy and tight, and how much it spins.

My Number two flat ride that I want to ride is the Zamperla Air Race. I want to ride it because of how much it spins, goes upside down, and the seat and harness look comfortable and tight.

My number three flat ride that I want to ride is a drop tower. These will bring me out of my comfort zone because of how fast the rush is. However, they look fun, my friends have told me they are fun, the rush seems somewhat fun, and I intend to ride one.

My number four flat ride that I want to ride is Slingshot. I want to ride this because of the rush, the seat and harness, and how you get a good view of whatever amusement park you are at.

My number five flat ride that I want to ride is Xtreme Skyflyer / Skycoaster. I want to ride this because I will actually have to do something on a ride (the pulling of the cord to release yourself), the rush seems awesome, and the swinging motion seems relaxing.

^ When are you planning to go to King's Island to ride drop tower, slingshot and skyflyer? You've spoken so much about your desire to ride them, I'm looking forward to seeing a trip report!

I would have loved to go to Kings Island, however my parents say it is too expensive, way too far away for my parents to feel good about me driving there, and I don't want to go against my parents. Again, I would have loved to go to Kings Island, but my silly parents are in the way. They also said the rides "look to extreme for me to enjoy". I plan on going to Beech Bend to ride both a drop tower (it is called Zero G at Bech Bend) and an Air Race. I plan on going to Beech Bend before the park closes for the season (I plan on going in about one to four weeks). I am only going there to get the credit for the rumbler, ride some of the flats, and leave. I don't plan on staying long at beech bend, but I will create a trip report for the park. I intend to ride as many flat rides as I can at Beech Bend.
