What is it about B&M's Wing design?

One thing about Gatekeeper, it's probably the smoothest coaster i've ridden so far. Probably has alot to do with being a brand spanking new B&M, but it's exceptionally smooth. And the first drop is very unique as Antinos basically stated. Not crazy intense, but VERY well done. I enjoyed MF and TTD more by a hair, but GK felt like the bleeding edge ride that it is

I've ridden both Gatekeeper and Weagle now, and the last thing I would ever say is that these rides are smooth. I find the only way to ride them is on the inside and as close to the front as you can get. Riding outside last row on GK left me feeling like I just rode the worst Vekoma SLC (okay thats an exaggeration but still)

^How tall are you? I'm fairly short, about 5' 8", and I thought it was fairly smooth. Snoo, who's a good six inches taller than me, found the vibrations to be awful.

It vibrates in certain spots, but wasnt enough to be awful. Annoying to be found on a B&M, but the height and speed are the most likely cause of this. I did find the restraints a bit tight, but Im large and needed stapled to ride, so pox on me for that lol.

I find all B&Ms vibrate bad, some of the time.

Ive always assumed it's because they are smooth the vibrating is more noticeable.

Swarm has the rumblies more often than Inferno though. And I suspect it'll age poorly.

I'll say this till i'm black and blue (or should I just ride Baco three times in a row?).

B&M's ride design is far superior. Looking at their version of the flying coaster and how long that took to develop they probably spent a decent amount of time getting this ride type up to scratch, started small with Raptor and now with Wild Eagle, Gatekeeper they are pushing themselves a bit more.

Intamin dove straight in by combining a new seating pattern with their not-so-perfect hydraulic launches. The seats wobble, anywhere outside of the inside three rows and the ride becomes brutal. How can you enjoy yourself when your main objective on the ride becomes trying to stop your head slamming into the razor sharp restraints placed oh so cleverly either side of your ears?

B&Ms restraints may be a tad restrictive, but they allow the ride to perform graceful moves at slow speed giving the rider time to realise they're upside down and enjoy themselves.

Now not strictly Intamin's fault, but whilst waiting in the station for the broken down Baco to restart, the train moved out of the station and didn't get far enough into the correct position, those lovely wooden doors went slamming into the side of the train. Hilarious.

I'm only 5'10". It's not a Vekoma rough, or even a Arrow looper rough. It's just a rough jarring that rattles me around and I can feel it in my brain.

Another key factor in wing coasters' success is their unique layouts. Many of them are taking very unique elements and throwing them all together. Yes, we all have built a wing over dive in RCT but only wing coasters have them in the real world. All of the dive loops and immelmanns enter/exit on the wrong side of the half loop. Wing coasters are also the only modern coasters that have inline twists. Wing coasters offer a very unique ride experience, and that uniqueness usually translates to a large amount of fun.

Manhattan Express has a dive loop that doesn't enter on the 'wrong side'. And I didn't realise Smiler was a Wing Rider with its inline twist. Or most Gerstaulers. Flyers. Loads of inline twists.

I really like Baco, it's loads better than Swarm. Better designed doesn't mean more fun. You're all wimpy dwarves.

I liked baco, but it IS painful.

But I still liked it?

You can't honestly think that pre tunnel intensity wasn't a little too much, though?
