Dear Thorpe Park,
For your next coaster could you call Mack and ask them to create something that remotely resembles this thing please.
Thx.
Can we have it at Parc Astérix too?

The back car severely displeases me.
Yeah, it just looks wrong (bearing in mind I have actual diagnosed OCD), so it really angers me hahaha. Why? Is it just because it only has a single row? It will likely be an awesome ride experience though.
Yeah, that's how trims work. Ever since the brakeman era of coasters.Yeah, this is normal is it not? It's what Taron does especially? Puts them on when they need to be?
Mind, you can just turn them off too, and then you've got a good time on your hands!
Unless they're installed on a retractable mechanism, which I'm fairly sure we've seen on coasters before (although the specific examples escape me now). Not on this you cant, the magnetic trims are fixed onto the track permanently, meaning unless they remove them, they will always be working.

Braking systems on most modern coasters (MACKs included) are based on permanent magnets, basically like an LSM. You're thinking of LIMs, which are given a magnetic field through pulses of electricity to the metal plates (hence why LSMs can be used as brakes while LIMs cannot). For a comparison to our home park, think V2: the actual brakes are retractable b/c they're permanent magnets.Or if they're electromagnetic trims(which they probably are), then they can simply cut power to them, turning the trim off?
