The park is continuing to attempt to stay relevant (and open). Earlier this year they re-themed their rapids to a dinosaur theme and now they've decided to add a new flat ride to the line up....

Looks like they're renting it off the fairground circuit and it opens on the 18th July.

For 2016 it looks like the park is adding a drop tower to their ride line up. Though now I'm on my laptop I can't seem to find the images that were all over my Twitter feed this morning. I shall keep an eye on this so take it with a pinch of salt for the time being.

According to looopings they rented that flat ride because Anaconda is being retracked or something.

Anaconda is going to need a lot more than re-tracking to get me to ever ride that PoS again and I thought Dark Tower was the second best ride in the park (after Monster, of course). I don't get why they would install another drop tower. How many parks have two drop towers other than Liseberg (which has three)?

A few parks in Japan have both a Space Shot and Turbo Drop (but not in the same structure like say, Dorney/Worlds of Fun/Lagoon) and, uh, California Adventure for a while had both Tower of Terror and the S&S towers. Dorney has S&S and the First Gen (and Cedar Point did) :p

I was going to include Dorney in my post, but there's such a difference between the two (just as there was at Cedar Point) that I didn't bother.

Gröna Lund has Katapulten and Fritt Fall. Doesn't Linnanmäki have multiple towers too?

Ignore the drop tower part, looks like it was for somewhere else

It's been confirmed in an interview that Monster will be getting repainted next year, and will also have a fully built station building. Plus some theming added around the ride.

Another good news is that the owner is considering tearing down the wood coaster. He sees it as a money eating pit.

I think that seems like a sensible idea, a bit odd after loads of re-tracking over the past two years. It's just a disaster of a coaster. I hope they'd fill that large space with something though instead of just wasting it.
