Visionland Liuzhou- Crazy Magician

Ok - came across this coaster(?) in one of my internet deep dives, looks like it's still in construction, although I believe it was meant to open when the rest of the park did! It's an OCT in-house design, and I found some intrequing patents on the OCT technical site!

What is it? from the outdoor track is appears to be a partial rip of of the new Mad Ramp Peak, opening this year at Genting skywards, but also getting Test track vibes. the theming is SUPER ambiguous - Its name is 'crazy Magician' the entrance looking like it might be a magic show??... Then the Blue prints show a complex show building with dome screens - so will the carriages spin/rotate? to face these screens. To add confusion, the parks official website features a completely different style of image on the rides profile, of what appears to be more of a spiderman style ride!

WHAT IS THIS??

Looks like it might be a mission Ferrari/Dynamic attractions situation of overcomplicating an attraction!

Crazy Magician itself is a Spiderman inspired dark ride built by OCT. It already exists and is operational.

General consensus from those of us who have been is that the weird road/track coaster thing that was going alongside/instead of the dark ride has since been abandoned. It just looks like decoration now, adorning a large paved plaza which cuts it off at both ends.

There's a pic in here somewhere.

Interesting - If it wasn't for that blueprint drawing on the OCT technical website I'd have assumed they where separate rides! So was it meant to have a coaster section? and that part has just been abandoned? Was it meant to be a completely different ride system originally and swapped out? Do you think they'll make a coaster out of the outdoor sections remaining? ( below image @ http://www.octvision.com/language_EN/kale_tech.html)

I'm just intrigued buy the original concept and what they were trying to achieve? Out of interest, what IS the theme? Dinosaurs ?

Yes, seemingly, yes and no. OCT started dabbling in selling (or gifting to their existing properties) their own ride systems around 2014, and this park in 2017 was their first attempt at doing a full scale park based on them. I'm guessing this particular one was overambitious.

Out of interest, what IS the theme? Dinosaurs ?
Following some wizard bloke in his escapades around the destruction of a city.

The dinosaurs are just generic promo for the OMG 3DNESS in the concept art I'd say.
