Hey super late reply but saw that no one else chimed in...from what I've heard the operating costs heavily outweighed any revenue they were making off the ride- so it's shut down indefinitely. Maybe it will eventually be sold? Seemed like a cool small footprint ride...

What's strange is I heard the park is building a new waterpark nearby. If they can afford a new water park then why can't they open an existing coaster? Hopefully they open it eventually cause it's seems pretty fun and is on my bucket list mainly because of the uniqueness of it.

Water parks are low-investment for a high reward. It may not be about being able to afford to get the coaster running, but whether it's worth the money to do so if it's not bringing people in. So many places with amusement park / water park combinations will very frequently have a full water park and a dead amusement park.
