I don't think that will happen tbh they have contracts in place etc. They only signed a 5 year deal for Harry Potter which yes will probably be extended but to go 100% Harry Potter would be wrong.

Yeah, and it would involve changing stuff like the Simpsons and the AWESOME Studio Tour, which is by far one of their biggest selling points...

Surely it's going to be a more watered down version? It's such a TINY park, if it's on the same scale as Floridas it will just dominate...

I'm all for having a ride or two, but if it's as big as Florida's it will just take over the whole park which seems a bit silly...

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood will be created with the same commitment to authenticity and the same level of talent and resources as its Orlando counterpart.

“I am delighted that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has been so popular with fans since the opening in Orlando last year and I am sure that the teams at Universal and Warner Bros. will bring their expertise and attention to detail to Hollywood to make this new experience equally as exciting,” said J.K. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort opened in June 2010 and immediately captured global attention. It is a spectacularly themed land that includes Hogwarts castle, Hogsmeade and multiple themed attractions. Specific details of its expansion will be announced over time.

So are they building a huge castle that's not really needed or just the ride in a themed shed?

I have not seen a topic for this yet so universal is adding another Harry Potter land and they have already confirmed that their will be another Harry Potter and the forbidden journey and an unknown second ride which I think will be a kiddie coaster so post on and say what you think.

Yh, pretty sure there is a discussion of this somewhere, there's definitely a topic for the coaster in construction, and at this stage there's not really much to speculate as a load of it is already built!

I decided to update and move this topic as construction is well underway.
Crews have demolished the Gibson Amphitheater, and work is continuing on preparing the site for vertical construction.

Here is where the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be located in the park. The House of Horrors on the left was demolished as well for the new Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem and Super Silly Fun Land attractions.

There was a topic when this was very first announced ages ago as I remember reading it here.

Anyway I don't think it will be any where as good as the Orlando one as if my memory is correct they are not building the castle, plus the location is just too near the entrance.

^ They are building the castle, and I think it will be cool, to see the giant castle, from the entrance, also there are a lot of cranes, on site and I think, it will go up, pretty quick.
