Interesting choice. What other Italian creds have you done?ITA - Italy: Mammut, Gardaland
Not a wonderful selection - hence the slightly odd choice. Only been to Italy once, back in 2009.Interesting choice. What other Italian creds have you done?
Ah, right, that explains a lot. It did seem that it was probably only the pre-Raptor Gardaland. Though I guess I personally still prefer Magic Mountain over Mammut, I can agree that's a pretty poor collection of creds. And yeah, Atlantida is pretty polarising, but not worth messing up one's milestones over it.Not a wonderful selection - hence the slightly odd choice. Only been to Italy once, back in 2009.
Blue Tornado, Fuga Da Atlantide, Magic Mountain, Mammut, Ortobruco Tour, Sequoia Adventure
And yes, I do count Fuga. In hindsight I wouldn't, but I have, so...
Can be arsed now.Maybe I'll do the states at some point, but can't be arsed right now.
IL - Illinois: Raging Bull, Six Flags Great America
To be fair, I think I'm only missing Goliath from the park. I'm sure the other coasters might be better, but they're more forgettable. Raging Bull was, at least, a 200ft B&M.Oh you poor thing, I hope you can come back soon to ride everything that's actually good.

To be fair, what's not to love about a 200ft B&M? The two I've done were both outstanding! To be fair, I think I'm only missing Goliath from the park. I'm sure the other coasters might be better, but they're more forgettable. Raging Bull was, at least, a 200ft B&M.
Here's the thing with Bull, it's got the height and speed, but it doesn't have the layout. In contrast from other B&M hypers, this one has a twister layout, featuring only 2 airtime hills(one of which is trimmed to absolute ****). There are moments of airtime and intensity on certain parts of the ride, but when you compare it to the likes of Mako, Nitro, and Diamonback, you end up with a rather underwhelming ride experience. It's in no way a bad ride; the drop is probably one of the best I've done. But when the ride runs best when it's cold out, you can't really expect too much.To be fair, what's not to love about a 200ft B&M? The two I've done were both outstanding!
Ah right. Thanks @GuyWithAStick; I always thought Bull looked quite good and intense, so I'm surprised to discover that it isn't!Here's the thing with Bull, it's got the height and speed, but it doesn't have the layout. Granted, this ride does have one aspect most other rides at GAm don't: Length. This ride smashes every other coaster in the park(bar maybe Eagle and Whizzer) in terms of duration. Clocking in at over 1:10 from lift to brakes, it's quite a long ride. Compare that to Goliath's 40 seconds or X-Flight's 45, lots of people come off the ride quite satisfied. It does have quite a few elements in there: an overbank, 2 hills, 2 hammerhead turnarounds, an entire twister section, and a tunnel, so you get to experience quite a variety of forces. So I can understand why a lot of guests would enjoy the ride, but I personally feel that the quality per unit track length is higher on other rides instead of Bull.
But hey, I've met enthusiasts who think Bull is better than all of the Cedar Fair hypers, so who knows. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
