Ian has probably thought of/done this already, but surely he could email them and ask them to opening it for you guys? Ya know, as some kind of special preview etc.
After all, CF sings a lot of praises for Toverland.
Yeah Ian has been communicating with them. They said its likely to be open for several soft openings after the 20th September (the date it got signed off).
It was open yesterday (Sunday 30th) when we arrived. The staff were handing out leaflets on the gate and telling people their new coaster was open.
Pierre took this shot:
The ride is pretty fab. Rode it twice. The first time was in the morning, front row and it felt a little tame. Good fun, but tame. In the third "pod" later on in the day, it hammered around the track and felt insane. The spin isn't horrendous like on EuroMir, but it's good enough to be enjoyable without being sickly. The layout is quiet cool, it seems quite relentless, although it does peter out towards the end.
The station is amazing. The music and lights (highlighting a mystical forest on the roof) change when the train leaves and enters.
Once the new rapids open and the whole area matures, it'll look fantastic. A good addition to the sort of park that Toverland is.
