If you go in CCL Burger King, there is a great view of the helix out of the drop. That helix should be taken at a really good speed.

In regards of construction, the whole frame of the building has been put it and it's huge!

Marc - it's just a fascia built on a scaffold. It could be moved easily and bolted onto any building. It's being built there at the Merlin Studios.

It doesn't look like the station, but it's bloody big whatever it is.

I've gone through the plans. There's no mention of the way the station is to be built.

It says with regards the window and wall bits "Imitation Sandstone effect". That could really mean anything.

I'd assumed that they would build using the same technique as Battle Galleons (Breeze block covered in a spray to make it look like stone and then painted).

However, I now have my doubts. Looking closely at the plans, the parts of the ride that are out of site appear to be left as "crinkly tin" (like the back of NI). If the entire building is crinkly tin, then it's cheap ass and it's actually likely the building WILL be just a painted facade bolted on :(

So I don't know as of yet - nothing in the plans that confirms anything either way. I'd still say, looking at time scales, it's unlikely to be for the new ride - but who knows?

Good, it does look like they're actually building a real building. So hopefully they'll render over the breeze blocks after bolting on the theming I was so aghast about early in this topic. This will make the building look as good as the castle around the Dragon Coaster at Legoland.

So I am happy again about the building :)

Is it sad that I got excited over the picture of the building being constructed. With breeze blocks! xD
Please don't find alternative meanings for this post! ^^

^ Those images really show a really nice hole under the drop section, so it may be a lot taller drop then what we first anticipated :) so the train will be going both down and then up a bit before setting of again.

The turn at the bottom of the drop looks bloody tiny in that pic, should be pretty intense!

I didn't get many pictures, as the only time I was in Ug Land was when it was getting dark and at night, and I didn't queue for Rita due to fastrack using the exit and just jumping straight on.

In the flesh the building is huge, the pictures do not do it justice, it is about twice as high as Rita's last hill and very wide. Remember it is a bit smaller than originally planned so imagine if it was full size! They have also started putting plywood on the front of the building, which is either temporary or for inside.

Sorry for poor quality, they were pretty much point and click and the settings were all wrong due to the changing light.

Those photos are part of the new christmas area for the winter break. This area is near Old MacDonald's Farmyard and will contain log 5 log cabins for various christmas uses including Santa's Grotto.

^^^Nothing is closed off to where you can normally walk so you can pretty much see everything from Ugland, especially in the Rita queue. Plus you can see part of track in the woods from by Burger King in Could Cuckoo Land.
