The worst roller coaster accidents

An Enterprise caught fire in Estonia (2007):

Looks vile, especially the roulette game of who is in the fire when the ride stops <///3.

I can't really figure out WHAT caught fire. The engine bit maybe? Or the op cabin?

Its probably already been mentioned but the drop tower that snapped a cable and took a 13 year old girls feet off - by far the most gruesome I think.

Edit - the drop tower being superman tower of power at six flags kentucky.

Looks like the hydrolic lifting mechanism.

How about the Krug Park coaster crash in the 30s that led to the city of Omaha banning rollercoasters?

^ Yeah, all those deaths and injuries were horrific.

^ You're back <3

Yeah, the only injury from Avalanche was bruised ribs, ****, I got that when I slipped in the bath, it's nothing major.

The Mindbender crash was pretty bad, but I'm really surprised no one has mentioned the Xcelerator at Knotts Berry Farm accident in September 2009. A 12 year old boy's leg got cut open by a cable. Yes, cut open. This isn't a coaster but it was small ride at Six Flags New Orleans where a 4 year old boy's grandmother tried to make sure if his restraint was in enough and the ride dispatched and the grandmother died. :( Yes, that even makes ME sad.

How can you say "I'm really surprised no one has mentioned...." when you haven't even read the topic?

It was discussed on the last page.
