The woodies at Blackpool

Right, well with a bit of luck I'll be going to Blackpool very soon, and was wondering how rough the wooden coasters were? I hated Stampida...

Nash - Can be brutal, but it's so fun.
Big Dipper - It's not that bad.
Wild Mouse - **** revolting.
Zipper Dipper - Not rough at all.
Nickelodeon Streak - Not rough at all.

Have I missed any? ;)

As a general piece of advice for them all, avoid the very back row as that will provide the roughest rides which can be particularly bad on Grand National and Big Dipper. For the smoothest rides then sit in the middle of the carriages as they are not above the wheels of the train, but this only really applies to the two mentioned above. The wild mouse is a bit rough at the beginning of the ride which is unavoidable but the rest of the ride is fine. However, I would not describe the rest of the ride as smooth, as it is just completely insane which makes it a love or hate coaster. Like lofty said, you don't need to worry about roughness on the nick streak and blue flyer, but towards the front is better on nick streak, IMO it is a very underrated woodie

I think Lofty's post more or less covers it. Dipper is a bit brutal near the back, Nash is brutal but fun, Wild Mouse will require you to brace for the turns, particularly towards the end of the ride.

To be honest, if the weather stays like it has been for the last 10 days or so, I'd be more worried about the Big One. It was seriously motoring at the CF Live the other week, which means the bumpiness was much worse than usual. Those seats aren't padded.

Does anybody get an arse splitting feeling on Wild Mouse? The combination of the carpet seats and sharp turns usually cause my hole to widen. It's like my right cheek is glued to the seat and my left one is pulled violently to one side. I only experience this on WM and I can't figure out why. If I ride with another person then I don't experience it because I'm more stationary in the seat so there's definitely some sort of arse splitting action going on.

Can't say I've noticed that - but it usually feels as if it's trying to tip me out! Bloody love it too!
Yeah, I'm too busy gripping on so I don't feel I'm about to go flying to notice which directions my arse is heading in...
