The Tale: A B&M Mega Coaster

RED & ORANGE TRACK

This :) But those supports are eye sores

You might want to try to structure them like this:

supportd.png

3 support tubes, and then the connecting nodes. They're pretty easy to make, but the only hard part is getting the support connected to the track aligned up, so that it's perpendicular to the track, not only in bankings, but in the slope of the track, and all ;)

Also, B&M supports are known for their strength. You would only need a Medium size tube there, and that would be plenty ;)

And you barely know <img> about what I've made. I have TOO DAMN MANY tracks, loads of which are WAY better than what I've released by far.

If this is true, why are you releasing poorer tracks? I smell something...

Anyway how far along are you monkeyonatable?

I will let you guys get from this what you want, while you do that I will get back to working on my coaster

EDIT: I did not make the CS used (got it from the GSU warehouse)

UPDATE 9/22/09:

I have finished supporting, and I am starting to add some I beams to make the break sections look like they have nets on them
Enough of the type, onto the pictures!

^splash down

^What?! No fake water splash? :p

Jkjk..

I still think your hills aren't parabolic enough. Even from those angles, you can tell they don't have the "spike" at the top which B&M hypers have. Also, the entrance/exit to the MCBR definately lack the lead-ins/outs. I mean, look at how sharp that exit is!

Other than that, theming looks great, and supports look pretty good. There's some in there that can be changed to a Medium sized beam ;)

Looks spectacular. Something I'd try and pull, and then some. Splashdown seems a bit long, but it's great none the less.

Keep it up!

I agree with Error the splashdown does seem a bit long but it is still looking great. Keep it up bud.

Those lift hill supports just don't seem right to me.

I mean, it might just be me.. but either they aren't big enough or just aren't the right shape.

^No, I agree. Something doesn't look right. I can't quite figure it out from the picture.

Can you post a larger image of the lift and it's supports?

UPDATE 9/29/09:

Well, I fixed the airtime hills and made them parabolic (physics for the win). Take a look,

People have been asking why the splashdown is so large, I will tell you this, I have something special in mind for it.

I have also made that outside support closer to the main track (if it needs moved again, just let me know)
