I'm afraid it is. Granted, I've only played the first one but it was so boring and linear and I HATE games where it's just a set path. It's just thing's blocking your way and invisible walls forcing you to go where they want you too. Might as well have made it an on the rails shooter.
 
Was looking forward to Res3 but got bored of it awfully quick, multiplayer is too slow paced (the complete opposite of what was wrong with Res2 online) and the story is poor. Downhill from the first tbh.

F1 tomorrow though :) Spend all my time on that given EA are disgraceful incompetant **** who won't be getting another penny off of me.
 
Anyone playing Battlefield 3 beta?

It's amazing, and seeing the screenshots of it on ultra setting on pc, makes me want to go out and buy a good gaming rig!!!

It arrived yesterday. It's gorgeous, delicious, compelling, interesting, fun, amusing and generally mind blowing. It's everything that every other commercial game fails at. Okay, you don't have six months of shooting wave after wave after wave of some creature ad infinitum, it doesn't replicate a popular sport, it features no plumbers and it certainly doesn't matter which platform you're playing it on. It's just the exact kind of immersive (immersive isn't a word, what IS the word?) experience that computer games should create. You're thrown head first into a world you don't understand and just have to use instincts to get through it. It makes sense in the animal part of your brain and you just love it.

It's the gaming equivalent of a hippies brain in the 60's. It's £15 for the Ps3 version, just why give it a second thought???

In bad news... NO ICO!!!! WHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY??????

picking up ICO/SOTC And possibly ps3 CoE in like 20 mins.
 
Yes, there's a 3D version of CoE. No, I've not got to passion yet, just getting towards the end of Beautiful(?)

I'm not very good at the game, but love it :) I don't like the Move system though, it's a bit nasty.

I'll probably get Ico from Asda or somewhere as Game have failed to dispatch it.
 
My FIFA arrived yesterday, but ICO and CoE were only just dispatched today. I'm going to Edinburgh for a few days tomorrow though, so hopefully they'll be here when I get back.

Anyway, from this we can deduce that TheHut is better than Zavvi and Play. Even though TheHurt owns Zavvi. xD
 
^^ It's Beauty, Passion is next <3. Dispite being a selling point I reccomend using a bogstandard controller, much more accurate and responsive.

Oh yeah, If anyone wants the sound track to CoE (or rez :p) I has it :3

Nah, Game own the lot of them! I pre-ordered Ico/SOTC ages ago. About a month back, Game sent me an email saying that because of a cock up at their end, they'd end up taking £27.99 AND £2.50 in reward points when the game was sent, but they'd give me the £2.50 in points back AND another £5 in points to say sorry.

£7.50 of points duly arrived back on my reward card the same day, which I felt was my duty to spend immediately in case they changed their mind.

So, Furie has 0 reward card points and Ico on pre-order - though after the purchase, I had £2.50.

Earlier this week I got another email off Game about my pre-order. Same as the last one. I logged in and had £7.50 in reward card points added to my account. So I now have £10 in reward card points which I felt I needed to use on Child of Eden.

So I got Child of Eden for £8 and had 0 reward card points left.

Child of Eden was delivered yesterday morning, a day early :)

As you may have gathered above, Game failed to ship Ico, so last night I cancelled my pre-order - no point if I can grab it in town from Asda for pretty much the same price and at my leisure.

Got home at lunch time and... Ico is waiting for me :D Checked my bank and they've not taken a transaction for it.

By my reckoning, it's cost Game £40.50 for me to pre-order Ico/SOTC - £10 in 'sorry' points, £2.50 in reimbursed points they didn't take off me in the first place and £28 for the actual game. I feel really bad because it's a game I'm more than happy to pay for (I've bought Ico three times now :lol: ). However, I can now spend that £28 on curry and beer.

Anyway, the moral of this story is that Game are clearly the best :)
 
SOTC is still as ball clenchingly amazing as ever. Gorgeous in 3-d, shame this headcold makes my eyes hurt pretty quickly.
 
(Sorry if this is necroposting, but I don't think it is?) This christmas I am really looking forward to Skyrim, Battlefield 3 and RAGE! Rage looks so good in the fact that it incorporates and FPS in a RPG so well, and the combat look fantastic! Battlefield 3, as far as FPS's go, will be the best this year, and it will be fun with some friends online. And skyrim looks SO much better than Oblivion, and I loved oblivion. I think it will be my favourite RPG once I have played it.

I've been playing the Battlefield 3 Demo a bit over the last couple of days. Probably had a couple of hours on it. I'm unsure by it... I can't really describe why, it's little things like, on certain maps, you seem to be able to wander around for ages without seeing anyone on the opposite team. Maybe there just weren't enough people in the game. I need another couple of hours on it I think to determine whether I want to buy it or not. I really wanted to love the game, I'd been looking forward to it. Maybe I just haven't given it enough time. Maybe it'l grow on me? I hope so, because the concept looks and sounds brilliant.

Because there's the problem of Modern Warfare 3 coming out at around the same time... And I really wanted to have a new FPS that wasn't the CoD series. I got bored of CoD, I didn't even buy Black Ops. It was just too much of the 'same'. Meh.

The only problem with the Battlefield 3 demo is that it's very cluttered in terms of visuals and it can be often hard to spot an enemy soldier. I've also been annoyed that you have to unlock weapons and add-ons, when I think it should just give it all without this. Would make for a much fairer level playing field I think.
The map is just long and frustrating, but great at the same time! With it going from very open to very narrow then back to open it makes for some great fighting. I'm still looking forward to it, as it will still blow CoD out of the water.

Fifa 12 has been great fun! I've sorted my problems with the defending out, flddled a few settings and got it working my way. Had some fun today with Lewis with Ultimate Team (got 3 free gold packs, thank you) and just messing about. It's a good improvement from the last game, smoother gameplay, such as throw-ins which can really catch you out if your not watching!

If anyone fancies a game on Xbox sometime just add my gamertag. Should be up for a game.
