Th13teen to close on Friday 13th?

I think the 14 fits tbh, it is probably the age of the people that keep coming up with these ideas.

Oh well I bet more people go now just to ride it with a different name, would not shock me if Alton have made different stuff for the day as well.

Tbh you cannot really blame them for the extra advertising etc.

Joking aside, the "special merchandise" will probably be worth a few quid in years to come.

Major groan though. Bored of Morwenna marketing now.
 
So have they got a new logo or anything for tomorrow? I must admit a simple name change is dissapoining. I would have thought they would use special effects to fake a breakdown, derailment or fire on the ride whilst it was testing during the day...but no...just a name change.......great...
 
I'm wondering if the signs are going to change and stuff. If they do it well will new maps, signs and not a TH13TEEN in sight, it could be pretty cool, I think.

As long as no pesky squirrels try to get on the ride!
 
They will probally do something similar to when Rita became Camila. Just cover the logos with Fourteens and sell 14 stuff.

This is a clever PR gimmick that people will probally flock for... not for the coaster, but for all the special stock.

I call it, by the end of the year she'll just be putting "1" on one tit and "3" on the other, posing topless and being done with it.

Not too sure if this would be funny or terrifying...

But yeah, what a letdown/suprise/can't be arsed to give a damn about Towers PR stunts anymore...
 
If only we'd known that on the previous page lofty :P

They've really gone to a fair amount of effort though... Too much I reckon...

....Is that an official image? Because If it is I say it's photoshopped. It certainly looks photoshopped. Someone must have been today and can report back.
 
It's official and real. People at TTF are there today and taken photos of it.
 
I really wish they put as much effort into the theming and effects as they have with all this PR stuff :)

If they'd tried this much with the actual ride, maybe we'd have gotten something that doesn't need all these BS marketing schemes because it would have actually been a good ride.
 
As much as I have hated this massive excessive and unbelievable PR that Alton has done the last few years, this is quite simply genius!

Full credit to the Alton PR team, but if you are reading this, please, no more silly and almost fortnightly PR tosh... (Yes, that's aimed at you Morwenna ;))

Plus, anybody there at the park today, grab us some merchandise ;)
