Pablo, there is no way that this coaster is something that was planned for some park and Fuji-Q bought it, since Fuji-Q installs one big coaster attraction every 5 years and try and brake some kind of record with it. So it would be highly unlikely for them to buy something that they haven't had input to...
Since the "5 year rule" were put in place they have built:
1996 Fujiyama, tallest
2001 Dodonpa, fastest
2006 Eejanaika, most inversions (which failed)
2011 Unknown, steepest drop
According to Trips'n'Pics then this will have 8 inversions (Japanese record), be 1000 meters long and have a 41 meter world record 121° drop.
Well that's what you get for only visiting the park during public holidays...

Do we have any clue whether this will probably end up with OSTRs or not? The airtime off that drop is going to be frightening.

^ Well the Eurofighter type coaster at SFOG is going to have lap-bars only, and it do a couple of the inversions this one do, so there is hope for this one...

I think the forces would be too strong if the lift hill wouldn't be angeled like that. I.e. they needed to design the hill like that too claim the record for steepest drop in the world. Hoewer I think that's cheating in the same way that El Locos use magnets on their drops, so I'm not that sure I would would call it the worlds steepest after all..Hyde244 said:

^If you actually look at the drop there are no trims on the 'steep' part. It's exactly the same set-up as the El Locos where the trims are only for the first part of the rotation, then they fall freely from there. In fact, looking at these photos:
I think the El Locos have more trims that this does.

This has honestly got to be the most ridiculous coaster I have ever witnessed in my entire life. Almost nothing about it seems conventional. The drop...um, pretty much speechless. The inversions... psychotic. The location...so very fitting! Although I wish it was in the US so I could have a chance of riding it. I don't care if this thing will hurt (which I don't think it would) but this is just mind-blowing. Can't get over it!
P.S.: the trims are somewhat disappointing if its the same on this new coaster...but awesome coaster regardless
