I can't speak for the park, but I disagree. I think the ride is fine (if somewhat underwhelming). Seeing as they've already removed Flashback and Pysclone, I don't think new management has a problem removing rides that don't serve a purpose for them. Superman obviously doesn't fall under that category for them, and they've chosen to do something else instead. You don't agree, we've established that. But the ride isn't being remove at this time, so I'm curious as to what they have planned.
I do suspect a lame theme as well, so I won't get my hopes up. But Superman doesn't bother me. In fact if the line isn't very long, I still take a spin every visit. So I'm glad they aren't pulling the plug.
Shoot, if it were up to me, I'd remove Revolution, Colossus, Ghostrider and Pony Express at Knotts, SOB at KI and every other ride at every park that I think is worthless. But from the park's point of view, it just doesn't work like that. They have access to research and numbers that I just don't. So if I can't get my wish, I at least hope they maintain the ride as efficiently as possible.
