Regards BC, expect big changes in that area from how it is now, when you return to PB in 2011.

When I do what now? ;) :p

That area is going to look so odd without the giant alien landscape blob sitting there... I assume they're taking out the themed building?

The only good part of this ride was the queueline.

The queue was horrid! After the first room which was pretty good those tedious hallways going upwards felt like forever.

I'm happy with the news. Blackpool didn't seem bothered as it wasn't the only ride that has closed, and it's not a bad roller coaster so I think Brean is a good place for it to go. Just pisses me off how Pleasure Island always miss the good stuff like this. They're nowhere to be seen when decent rides come on the market at a reasonable price yet wonder why their struggling.

I have heard the building is going to be re-themed and used as a PB gallery upstairs and have a restaurant downstairs. Clearly this is nothing more than rumour at the moment, so I am as clueless as anyone else on here or any PB related sites to what will actually happen, but if and when I do hear something I will post it up unless asked not to.

All I know is Beaver Creek is going to have plenty of new rides next year, probably more new rides will be put into BC than have been added into PB for the last 15 years...then again I guess thats not a big achievement.

Scott not having a go here.

If that is what is being done then I feel really let down tbh.

As someone who likes coasters I was hoping for a new one or at least a thrill ride. But yes I can see they need family things.

All that will be added to Beaver Creek would probably be kids rides, as for a new resturant does the park really need another one? Not really sure that this is the best way to go that is all. I know money is tight in the park as you have said before, but sometimes I feel they waste it where it could be saved for another year.

Saying that I always have a good time when I go there, I just find it hard to justify the drive there for nothing new and less than the last time I went hence why I missed the live this year :(

Nothing to do with fountains, its been sold simply because PB dont want it anymore. Its better in another park rather than sat at PB festering and collecting dust..
Why does the park not want a coaster which always has a line?

Either they have something planned (which I doubt) or it was costing them a lot of money to keep (which I doubt) or Amanda woke up one morning and decided to piss everyone off.

Same reason they never want to open a perfectly good, operable coaster (ie, Roller Coaster). Fools.

To be fair, it only had long queue's because of the poor capacity.

Spot on.

And Marc, there isnt really alot of space to put in a new coaster to replace SI2. Dont forget it is inbetween Roller and Rev, not leaving alot of room to do anything.

PB are basing next year's developments on family and in the process hoping to attract a large number of families back to PB in 2011, if this is a big success, then I dont think we'll be waiting much longer for the next new thrill ride at PB.

PB have now got a solid five year plan in place, which is likely to see big changes around the whole park and will include at least one new thrill ride and possibly a new water ride also, which PB is crying out for imo, as Valhalla cannot cope as the parks only 'big' water ride.

Went to Brean about a week ago and noticed signs stating that next year they will have "The UK's Only Dark Ride Roller Coaster".

The signs were located in between the Miami Wave(type ride) and the Wacky Worm, outside a fairly large building. (I took pictures but now I can't find my phone-USB lead :( )

If this is anywhere near as good as Terror Castle (their ghost train) it'll be one of the best dark ride roller coasters in the world.
