Small News From The Theme Park Industry

Liseberg is opening a Huss Breakdance 5 dubbed Kraftverket (”The Power Plant”) in 2025. The ride will be tucked underneath Valkyria’s turnaround next to the southern park entrance, where the former ”Sagolandet” dark ride used to be located.

At IAAPA it appears that ZDT's Amusement park have listed Switchback for sale on the gravity group booth. Not a clone the actual ride wtf

Had a conversation with Chad Miller about it today. Park owners would like to retire, they’re hoping they can help sell the coaster rather than see it be torn down. Would probably cost around $3.6 million to relocate all things considered, a solid million or so less than if it were brand new.

A rider's lapbar on Desert Storm at Castles and Coasters opened as the coaster climbed the lift hill. The quick-thinking guest managed to get out of the car onto the catwalk just before the train crested the hill. As he walked down to the station he was met by the ride operator, who he told that his lapbar opened and she yelled "I told you to check it." WTF!

It would appear Kaleidoscope Park in Belgorod, Russia will be adding a Zamperla spinning coaster in 2025, A clone of Wild Mouse at Cedar Point. This will be the parks first roller coaster.

Once again no idea how they got arould sanctions (Do they even cover amusement rides?)

Sorry for triple post, but as they are all on very different subjects in different countries it seemed easier for people to be able to reply to individual topics :)

Happy Valley Shenzhen has announced a swing launch coaster which will take the spot of the parks now defunct Vekoma SLC,

Hard to tell from this image alone but i suspect it will be a Jinma LSM ride.

Not sure if this counts as ”small” news, but courtesy of parkfans.net plans have leaked for a large resort hotel to be built in front of Universal Studios Hollywood’s main entrance:

Tønnevirvel at Rulantica is nearing its new roof completion however any idea what that deep excavation is for by the crane?
"Verder zal het aquapark in 2025 een groot buitenzwembad openen."
"Furthermore, the water park will open a large outdoor swimming pool in 2025."

Looks like a fairly pool-y sized hole

I don't know how they will do this, because they don't have a lot of free space left.
There is only the entrance plaza, the Citywalk, some parking spaces and next Hollywood Drive.
Yes, i've seen the concept art, but I don't understand where they want to leave all the people waiting for their checkin into the park.
