Some much-needed clarity from an admin on Texas Thrill Seekers;
Do you remember this post? This post was made a few days after the word came down about the ride having the plug pulled. Now before everyone looses their heads over this, first and foremost, the decision was made by the Engineer's recommendations and NOT because of money. In fact, the money that was dedicated to this project will stay at SFOT and will be used to help renew both flumes and another major upgrade in that park that will benefit guests for years to come. Unfortunately, we didn't get this, but the original flume will still be the original and after the updates to it, we will be able to enjoy for many more years.

While it's a shame that we don't get to see a goofy Daidarasaurus log flume happen, this is probably the better route to go.

While the long boi flume ultimately isn't happening, Six Flags Over Texas is focusing their attention elsewhere for 2024. Nothing has been officially announced by the park but there's plenty of info floating around from other sources;

The Chaparral Antique Cars will go full Jurassic Park, with lots of dinosaurs to be set up around the track. This was a cheap idea implemented at Six Flags New England last year and was overall well received;

On the other side of things Bugs Bunny Boomtown is cooking, with two new rides slated to debut. Budgeted at $2-million, the paving and foundation work will begin on February 20 and be completed by May 31. The dormant kiddy ferris wheel was taken out last month and the Texas Tea Cups was retired on the fly recently.

Annnddd double-post but yea, SFOT has publicized their other 2024 additions (sighhhhh)

Bucket Blasters will return after being removed for Aquaman three years ago, you can never have enough water rides in Texas. Brand new however will be the 41-ft tall Sylvester and Tweety Pounce and Bounce Zamperla drop tower.

Asides from that, there'll be the Dino Adventure, a permanent Boomtown Bar structure, and new theming elements in the Freeze/Batman queues.
