Six Flags Great Adventure | Zumanjaro | 415 ft. Drop Tower

It turns out Six Flags Magic Mountain isn't the only park to add a drop tower to the side of a 400 ft. tall roller coaster. Zumanjaro will be added to Six Flags Great Adventure in 2014 as the world's tallest drop tower. Riders will be first launched to the top of the tower in 30 seconds, and then experience a 415 ft. drop that reach 90 mph. The drop tower structure will be built onto the world's tallest roller coaster, Kingda Ka.

I love the idea that at certain points of the day it will duel with Ka, if only for a split second. The idea of a 415ft drop tower though? **** that! I'll be hard pressed to get on this when I visit next year.

Lex Luthor is worse imo. The shaking left and right before dropping is more unnerving than swinging back and forth.

Cant wait to hit this next May!

I really need to get to this park sometime soon. I'm about a 5 hour drive away. :D

Lex Luthor is an awesome ride. I am sure this one will be just as good.

That being said, wtf is Zumajaro? Am I the only one that is thinking of Robin Williams playing a board game when I hear that?

Woo woo, love me some drop towers! Lex Luthor was pretty great, but the drop isn't that bad (mostly its the long climb to the top.. and being able to feel the whole tower sway!) I'm all over this... but I doubt it'll be as intense as like, say, Acrophobia.

Falcon's Fury may top that.

There's going to be a path that goes back to the tower of Kingda Ka that will stand on Rolling Thunder's old footprint. There's quite a bit of space back there, at least if the path takes the right direction there will be enough room for 2 medium sized coasters in RT's footprint.
