Finally caught up.

Great report as normal Gavin.

It's strange as I had heard great things about Universal but as people have said it's more like ioa.

I think the Mummy is a clone of the Hollywood one, so yes that backward section is totally pointless. I remember thinking what now, oh the station lol.

What's up with that coaster now, thought it was fixed?

Shrek, well it was ok when it first started but the 4d film just has no reason to re see it.

Someone people say the rapids are better than the boat version, I need to watch a pov really.

Have tbh there is not much there that really takes my fancy, a few of the attractions are about things I really don't like or ever heard of.

Nice to read your report about Legoland. They are ok parks and glad to see that one is not over priced.

^ I've just looked and the track of Mummy seems to be a clone of Florida's. The backwards bit comes pretty much in the middle of the ride. It's literally just a small drop and then a turntable to the next section. It seems to me to just be a way of moving the train to be honest.

Battlestar closed down over six months ago and doesn't look set to reopen anytime soon.

Someone people say the rapids are better than the boat version.

I honestly think that's a case of "I've been on something that you probably never will, so I'll make it out to be better than it is" kind of reviews. The dark section was decent, but the outdoor section was crap, and without the big drop at the end there's no real climax.

It feels somehow incomplete with its signature ride just blatantly sitting there, but taken off the map, with no visible work being done to it.

I think you might have it spot on, right there. Think about which part of a ride could be worked on without any visible signs...? I reckon we can expect some shiny new trains to be rolled out when this re-opens and I think we are talking end of the year at best...

Loved the report by the way. Very pleasant to read... "please feel free to smugly point out all the differences to me since I really, really care."... That made me laugh. I could but I won't.
