An announcement about Silver Dollar City's 2026 addition is currently ongoing.
Recent construction around Powder Keg suggests this is gonna be a BIG addition...

EDIT: No announcement was made, however, a few hints were made to the new attraction, stating it will be a “very first you’ll see in the USA”.

The land for the ride is massive it runs from Powder Keg past American Plunge. It's so big they are building new walkways.
The outstanding rumor is this will be a multi(Lift?) Mine Train from Mack.

Yeah! I heard that rumour a while back!
But, I think that ride is intended to replace Thunderation once that leaves, so it could be something like Fire in the Hole 2.0, having a new attraction ready ahead of the old one leaving!
You can clearly see on Google Maps the area intended for expansion, right across from the launch of Powder Keg.

Rumours are that after the event, there was a lot of talk about this being a 2027 addition, so, we'll see. The Park President, Brad Thomas, said that there will be little crumbs of information over the next few months that will lead to something...
But I can't get out of my head the big tease of, “very first you’ll see in the USA”...

I've pulled this from SDCFans.com:

I agree @Intamin Forever!
I am pretty sure it's the replacement for Thunderation. Which has had its issues, roughness, storm damage, damaging Marvel Cave??, etc. so another family coaster would be needed if it is going.

Midwestinfoguide is has been doing a construction follow along on his website. Tons of posts of the new ride construction with tons of great photos showing a lot of those last items in the list your posted (new pathways, exit lane and reverb of the cabin next to Powder Keg, closing up the old unused sections of the log flume, rebuilding the back of Lumber camp falls, etc..

But I can't get out of my head the big tease of, “very first you’ll see in the USA."
This! So if it's a new Mack non powered mine train. That's a first right? Especially if it's a lift and launch....Also, if it's a good product at a good price, I can see Herschend making a package deal for their other parks to get one . That also makes the comment "first you'll see in the US" make sense.

Current look at the construction site, there's been a lot of land cleared and even some more footers;

Before I pretend to have any clue as to what those footers are, I'll lob a few suggestions on what a "USA-first" could be. It would be really cool to have a Mack Stryker there and that's definitely something Herschend could/would pull off. I don't really know if Silver Dollar City NEEDS another thrill coaster though, especially since Thunderation appears to be on its last legs. A replacement mine train from Vekoma would be an extremely good fit but I'm not sure if it fits the criteria. The most recent handful of big Herschend investments have all been geared towards families, and couple that with a new resort debuting there next year I think they're not likely to buck that trend. My immediate game theory would be a Gerstlauer Airtime Coaster a la Mecalodon at Walibi, especially since Ride Entertainment was apparently negotiating the sale of one for the United States last IAAPA. Again, zero judgement on the footers, but it's food for thought. Something tells me this isn't a Zamperla or an Axis.

Gonna shamelessly copy my post over from elsewhere, there was a tidbit from Mack on Amusement Today;

About the American traditional family coasters; that is not Mack's bread and butter. They've built seven since 2006, the last three have all been at Universal parks including the 2026 one. These are NOT rides that regional parks buy, not even Six Flags and United, there's just cheaper and easier options out there. If someone in the US has bought another for 2027, it's almost certainly from a company that wanted that project from Mack.

A huge new outdoor family coaster at Silver Dollar City would also fit in well with rumors that Thunderation is on its way out, as that coaster is structurally in very bad shape and its years are frankly limited. Herschend could easily go for it.
