Not sure how many of you will know of this show but I have great memories of it.
It's basically Gladiators on Ice. But it's fast paced and more people get hurt. :P

So I was wondering, if Gladiators got the makeover treatment and brought back to Sky1. Would you be interested in seeing the same done to this show?

Those that have seen it before what did you think or it?
And those that haven't here's a Youtube clip of the first 10 minutes of an episode.
*Ignore the cheesiness of the opening*
Skip to 2:30 to get to the start of the challenge

To see how brutal it can really be skip to 6mins and watch the blue contestant.

So what do you all think?

It looks okay, something I might watch periodically. I like Gladiators though, so if it's anything like that then it's probably decent, though I'm guessing this is obviously not the only challenge they have?

That girl hitting herself off the rotor arm was pretty bad.

The trouble with this is.... safety gear.

The great thing about Gladiators is the fit women in tiny ammounts of lycra and nothing else. (I <3 Tempest!). They clearly tried that approach here, but failed due to the ****ing huge motorcycle type helmets and various other safety gear. If they remade it now, it'd only be worse due to all the extra H&S regs that are bound to have come in.

Also, I'm surprised that I have NO memory of this WHATSOEVER!

I can't remember this either and its something I would have liked. That rotor game looks mental. I thought the swining arm in Total Wipeout was bad but watching the girl in blue taking a hit from that swinging rotor looked sore.

I would like to see something like this back but I bet it would have to be toned down nowadays with all the health and safety rules.

Yeah I'm afraid health and safety ruin everything these days. Unless they do it in Japan or something as looking at Tekeshi's Castle and Ninja Warrior it seems like they've never heard of health and safety.

That video is the only one I could find though. There are quite a few other games that are even better and more painful than that, but that seems to be the only one on the net. :(

Takeshi's castle is awesome when i think about it now. It got boring briefly but when I think about it. It's win.

Then I saw the "english" version if it. It's also know as completely butchered.

There is hardly any people and they are in full body armor and life jackets and every thing. It also looked incredibly fake and ****e.

SCREW H&S!

No.

Death to crap telly (apart from Neighbours).
