What purpose do those comfort collars actually have? Is it SeaWorld's internal safety department thinking that the ride wouldn't be safe without them, or is it because the GP would see the ride as unsafe without them?
I'm guessing it's a mixture of both. We know it has nothing to do with state regulations as the same model ride can operate just fine in the north of the state with just lap bars.
