I wont be going opening day as its normally a waste of time as not much is open.

If there is a meet up for Saw I will go to that.

is anyone going thorpe park on the opening then?
Unless it's a CF Live, hell no. If it were any other park, I'd probably make the effort, but it's Thorpe, and having lived through the joys of Ghosterforce, there is no way in hell I'm trekking all the way down from Yorkshire when I have zero confidence that they'll have all the major rides running properly.

I'll probably be waiting this one out for a while until the weather picks up and Thorpe get their usual start of season screw-ups sorted. Then I'll probably consider coming down.

^I'm up for that, sounds like fun

So who else is going for March 14th to check out Saw and bitch about thorpe?

I'm going opening week, but not during the weekend. I'd rather miss a day of college than day of work for going to a park.

I think you are all getting something wrong, Saw is not open till a month after Thorpe is.

Quite right, exactly a month :)

Thorpe opens on the 14th of Feb for half term. Then it opens again (along with Saw for the 14th of March

Am I the only one thinks this looks alright? Okay, not amazing by any means, but it's not dreadful. It's Thorpe, I'm certainly happy with the effort put in to get even 'half-arsed' :)

Ride will still be poor, but they've made some effort. The biggest problem is the fact that the British are **** are this kind of thing, we're naturally pretty damn lazy and just agree to the easiest option. Very few people (John Wardley generally being one) buck this trend. He only had a small hand in this, which properly means he said "something like an old warehouse he lives in" - which is as far as the creative team bothered ;)

I still reckon it looks okay though, I'm not entirely sure what people where expecting???

Also true to the theme, if his lair was in a warehouse, im sure it be nothing distinctive, otherwise in the film everyone would know where it is ;)

^Oh please, Bond villians can hollow out volcanoes and no-one seems to notice. I'm quite sure Jigsaw could jazz up his warehouse a bit without anyone noticing.

Anyway, these shots appear better than the original RCT-box picture posted about four pages back. Nothing immense, but I suspect the best themeing will be saved for inside.

omgzzzzz im not planning to go to Thorpe on opening day coz i heard theyre not gonna open any ridez at all. i hear its jus gonna be tht banana ride shiz and nt even sure they can be bothered to open da gates...

That said, they once closed Nemesis: Inferno when I was there...

The reason: The track was dirty (?)

I agree.

Can anyone tell me when the coaster SAW is to finish construction :?

So all this opening on friday the 13th is complete bollocks then?

I will be able to ride in around Mayish I think, if its not ****ed up by then!

They've still got two months! That's pretty much how long it took to construct and test Rage! I'll bet the only reason it's not testing yet is due to the fact the construction is still happening on the station. Once that's finished (pretty soon, it's only a few bits of crinkly tin), they'll just need a couple of weeks of testing.

It's a Eurofighter, pretty simple stuff comparatively, so I'd bet it's easily ready by Friday 13th March.

It's been testing for the past few days apparently.

The cars have some sort of metal bars on them as decor and "Face Your Fears" written on the side.
